Since no one else has started a thread...

Ark, I think this idea rules. Probably my personal favorite idea and the one I'm the most excited about ever. This game needs some turmoil, things are far too sedentiary(sp?). Bringing the political factor into it, making clans form alliances and perhaps even making clans have to defend others like a NATO kind of thing is awesome. In 1 swoop, you have turned this game into a fairly static, online game with a pvp aspect to a real dynamic MMORPG. Even though I don't really do the whole RP thing, I'll definitely be getting in on boons/punishment discussions and try to sway people to my vote. Who knows, maybe even buy them off. ;)

My only suggestion would be if it could be more like a real senate, with representatives and such. I think clans should have the magistrate, who can make the bills but not vote, and a clan rep who can vote on behalf of the clan. Could make a code that gave them a % vote based on amount of members rounded down (100 members = vote being worth 10), like how the US House is (or is it the senate?). Would make upgrading your Great House important, would make recruiting for and being in a clan more important and would also create lively debates and a real "politics" feel for the reps. Plus, great rp opportunities. NWO (being evil and all) could bribe people. Magier could have their votes bought for "tithes". Etc, etc.

ZugZug, the word you are looking for is "sedentary". Also, it is the US House of Representatives that gives states a number of votes based on population. The Senate has equal representation for all states with two delegates.

Nix to the representative idea... What gives the larger clans the ability to be a great house is the fact that they have more members and can block vote after discussion in their forums...

But having the Muelsfell Senate is an interesting idea... Is the Agoroshian Magus Cabal trying to get bacfk into power or something? Isn't this something they used to do?

Thanks Nanashi. I thought it was the House of Reps...

I think reps could work the same way if their voting power was tied to clan membership.

Pardon the caps, but I see a possible problem with voting for everyone.

MULTI ACCOUNTS = BAD.

A person making 10 accounts can make 10 votes on something to help it along. So if possible, (or if done already Ark) nip this one in the bud ASAP.

:)
