can i remove the chest and replace it .. like the rest body parts

i got a level 1 golem weth a level 1 chest can i remove the level 1 chest?

it looks like i cant build one ...

o ya and wat hapends if my chest dies .. will my golem die?

the chest determines the type of the golem, so you can separate the rest of the parts from the chest but the chest is still the center of the golem. This is also why if the chest gets destroyed the golem is gone.
