Thread: Empty Clan?

I was browsing the Clan list, and noticed that the Steel Hammers (HAMS) has no active members. No big deal that, but when you look at the Clan joining page, it says there are NO members in the Clan with no SM listed.

If this Clan is in fact totally empty, other folks could join as it is marked as open, but no one could promote officers, choose items, etc. Also if it is a null entry, there is no SM to disband it. Dunno if this is an oversight or not.

I have noticed a few clans with no active members. Steel Hammers is the only one I can remember that has no members period. The others just have one officer who has become inactive one way or another.

One thing I find funny though is OFAE, Organization For Alchemical Experimentation, a clan headed by someone who apparently does not exist... just try searching for redbeard, you won't even find an inactive profile.

I'll be setting something up in the nightly clean-up to automatically start the timer for disbanding on clans with no active members.

Some of this was due to a bug that allowed folks to join another open clan even while they were in an existing; some is just due to people going inactive.

Redbeard's situation is not a bug, but that's all I can say about that.
