i am bumping this old topic to ask if arkham is/will add a search to the forums. yeah i know it is still in beta so not everything is worked out yet, and a lot of people have been searching thru the forums for info but a search would greatly help newer players like me

Forum search is not on the to-do list; the main reason is that searching through loads of text can be very resource intensive and would take a very long time per search.

Interesting that you should mention this now, since just last night a fellow game designer and I were discussing what options we'd have for forum searches. As a result of our brainstorming session, we came up with some potential solutions, so... eventually, I'd like to incorporate forum search. It's just not going to make the priority list for a very long time.

Next forum project is to fix the read/unread issue and to improve speed.

hmm... true about it being resource/time intensive. my first thought was searching only topics for keywords but the way people word topics that wouldn't work too well...

right now it isn't a big deal, since there aren't many pages per sub-forum.
