In the interest of peace and stability, we of the Angelic Order of the Knights Magier formally renounce our claim of authority over the Magi of Muelsfell. We realize at this time that the responsibility to maintain the sanctity of our craft rests equally on all Magi, and our attempt to predominate that role served no one. We would further like to apologize to those clans who's hands were forced in dealings subsequent to our announcement. As we move forward, we hope that stronger communication between the people and clans of Muelsfell will some day eliminate the need for these regrettable decisions. The Knights are now turning our efforts towards this ideal future. To ensure an end to our previous hostilities, the Knights Magier hereby surrender to the terms laid out by our former enemies, offering modest concessions, the return of all 'contributed' iron, and promising open communication. Also, in the spirit of cooperation, we are announcing our intention to stands fully behind the Feldspar Senate from this point on. We look forward to the peace brought on by these arrangements, to the many opportunities engendered by our cooperation, and to the promise of prosperity for all. With the blessings of our LORD, and the approval of the Saints, -Father Kevin R. Coyne Edit: I would like to attribute the delay in this message's sending to a highly contagious avian pathogen which regrettably compromised 90% of our messenger pigeon fleet. Alternative conveyance proved equally unreliable as our camel got stuck in the slough outside Zion's Reach, and was just recovered. Our sincerest apologies.Last Edited: Sep 16, 2008, 8:15 pm |

Glad to see this, Father Coyne... If anyone wants disease free pigeons, please see my Wizard-Knight Tiritus, she excels in the breeding of homing pigeons and weasels. Sometimes it's easier for weasels to carry messages... ELast Edited: Sep 17, 2008, 12:30 am |

Hmm... perhaps this pigeon plague is more serious than I had originally thought. I shall endeavor to investigate before the entire pigeon network dies off. |

Wonder if NWO took my dove recipe and felt pigeon was an appropriate substitute? Its not. Pigeon tastes terrible. Camels are much better if you can actually get them moving. For messages, that is. Not eating. Like chicken, but a bit drier and a slight hint of musk. |

I would like to put it on record that while highly manueverable of mountainous terrain, goats are not a good alternative means of message carrier, as they tend to eat everything. Also let it be noted that yaks are not viable either, as they are stubborn and often slow. You would probably get a message faster by walking than by yak. Conversely there is nothing better for parcel delivery, especially of those heavy iron and adamantine golem parts. |
