So I log in to a report. Cool, let's look at it, I've been attacked, alright how'd it go? combat: [Round 1] Your Bone Golem begins to advance upon his Bone Golem while his Bone Golem begins to advance upon your Bone Golem. Both combatants are out of range with about 50 feet between them. [Round 2] Your Bone Golem continues to advance upon his Bone Golem while his Bone Golem closes to melee with your Bone Golem. Your Bone Golem attacks with its fist and misses 9 times, but also hits once on the right arm (14 dmg). The right arm snaps into bony splinters with a loud *CRACK*! His Bone Golem attacks with its fist and misses 7 times, but also hits the chest (2 dmg) and the left arm (6 dmg). [Round 3] Your Bone Golem attacks with its fist and misses 3 times, but also hits once on the chest (4 dmg). His Bone Golem has no usable weapons and does not attack. [Round 4] His Bone Golem has no usable weapons and does not attack. [Round 5] Your Bone Golem attacks with its fist and misses once, failing to hit at all. His Bone Golem has no usable weapons and does not attack. [Round 6] His Bone Golem has no usable weapons and does not attack. [Round 7] Your Bone Golem attacks with its fist and misses once, failing to hit at all. His Bone Golem has no usable weapons and does not attack. [Round 8] Your Bone Golem hits once on the chest (6 dmg). Ribs become deadly bone shrapnel as the chest explodes. His Bone Golem shuts down due to excessive damage. Results: Bone Golem did 24 dmg while his Bone Golem did 8 dmg. Looted: Your golem has raided 157 pouches of gems, 1351 rods of iron, 483 cords of wood and 346 cages of flesh from Nebin's workshop. You earned 5 xp and Nebin earned 5 xp. Your golem will be back at your workshop in 1 min 30 sec. /combat Wait, did I read that right? I just looted my own workshop? Someone care to explain? It doesn't look like my resources are any different then they should be, but the message was a little disconcerting. I think it's some bug, but thought I'd double check. Edit: on further examination it appears that the message left in my box belongs to my attacker. For despite the title saying defense the description starts with "You are outside Nebin's workshop in Mottonsborough fighting against his Bone Golem with your Bone Golem. Uttering the magical incantations required to activate your golem, you send it into combat!" Now I'm really confused. Oh, and my golem is nearly destroyed.Last Edited: Apr 13, 2008, 3:31 am |

That threw me off the first few times I read a combat report too. It gives you the combat report that your opponent received, instead of generating a new one with all the articles changed. So, you're seeing the same thing he saw when he attacked you. |

Yep, all combat reports are from the attackers point of view. |

Well, that's disappointing. I think that should be changed, especially if not everyone will have the option of naming their golems. It's bad enough with 'his golem' and 'golem' but if 'his golem' is really my golem... all is lost. |
