I've been thinking about this, based on my own circumstance. A couple of times I'm pretty sure people have really wanted to retaliate against me, to destroy something of mine as punishment for being a bit of righteous jerk. These things happen.

But, I don't leave my golems out.

So, since basic resources are pretty much pesos in the current economy, and building destruction is out, there's not a whole lot they can do. I think the future of this game needs a way for people to gang up and chastise players who are being dicks, or who are just too powerful for us to let live peacefully.

I liked an idea that was going around about having to destroy the wall before you could loot the items inside/destroy the rest. This was before the destroy feature was removed.

And the wall is a crucial feature, It gives a % to hiding resources and a defense bonus, As well as being rather expensive.

Anyways, I support reinstating the destroy feature.

perhaps we should be able to knock down building levels but not entirely destroy them (afterall, we still have the foundation) :)
maybe the attacking golem should knock down a random improvement rather then just the workshop. it really isn't much of a game with some significant risks involved.

Funny that you have a high 'good' ranking after admitting you've been being a dick to everyone.

I agree - but it also has no Opt Out for those looking to expand more on a questing angle.

From a role playing perspective - there might be an elegant way out. Let me move my workshop to Mottonsborough. If I actually LIVE inside the heavily militarized city, I should be "safe". I should have to pay Rent on this real estate and I will need permits to have my golem come and go. Since the city is placed in a defensive location, has walls & guards etc - the actual travel times for my golems should be heavily increased.

This could provide an control on those seeking safety (time and money) which increases the potential reward for those taking the risk living out on the fringe.

This could also make alignment more meaningful - but that is a different discussion.

Hey... I'm angelic and I'm not a dick :P

I'm just good by nature, but that doesn't make me zealotic bastard.
