What about some sort of umbrella or large tarp item to cancel some of the rain penalty. We have lanterns available to help at night, so something similar for the weather? |

I believe what masterslug is suggesting are items that duplicate the bonuses of the golem types (at the cost of an item, an item slot(s) and capacity). Ranged clans already have the focus lens that mimics the bonus of wood golems (no miss percent in woods). The lens uses 2 slots, 35lbs and costs 2000 glass, 400 gems, and 100 money so there is precedent. So umbrellas, waders, heat insulation (or cooling systems), and the like aren't that far-fetched. |

There's an item category waiting in the wings to serve this very purpose: Shades, or "Climate Protection." I don't know if the icon is visible on player accessible pages (maybe in the market) but it's a little purple umbrella. I haven't made these live yet because I'm still debating how to handle fair distribution amoung the clan types. Kep |

Why not make a 'basic' catagory, and allow people to research that in their very own library, then figure out what to do with clan items? You have all those categories in the market search tool, that will never be used because clan items cannot be sold. :( |

New Item Idea - Rings (see variuose fantasy RP games). Sorry if this has already been suggested, I got bored searching. For a start, rings of protection. Rather than adding to armour class their main function would be to reduce minimum damage and maybe also elemental damage. Each would take up one slot on a hand. Four different types that can be stacked with each other, but not with multiples of the same type. The most you could have is 4 rings on one golem. Ring of frost - +1 mdr* +2 Fire Resistance - basic clan Item, all clans have access. Ring of Silence - +1 mdr +2 Sonic Resistance - Unlocked in your Artificer Options, by a difficult Quest Ring of Fire - +1 mdr +2 Ice Resistance - Unlocked in your Artificer Options, with Achievements Ring of avoidance - +3 mdr - Path: Item and armour Specializations have access. *minimum damage reduction |
