After receiving revelations that some people are less than thrilled with me and my constant pvping, I am outlining here a general set of guidelines I am going to follow so that everyone is clear and complaints can be kept to a minimum. These will contain guidelines which i already follow and a new scheme for people who don't want me to attack them at all. These guidelines will be instituted at the same time as the killer golem deadline. 1. I will attack anyone whose clan NWO is not in a specific alliance with. This is in regards to the temporary alliance we had with TOMU and co. to deal with magier. 2. If you are attacked and feeling I am overly targeting you, you can message me and I will cease all attacks against you for 1-7 days. Only requests from the individual will be accepted, not from clan admin. The time period will be determined by me, looking at the factors, number of golems destroyed/disabled, number of barricade levels knocked down and number of times I attacked them. Anyone who requests me to stop after a single attack will be given a clemency period of five minutes. The period of clemency for genuine requests will start from when I send the message. If unhappy with the amount of time given, you can dispute but this will only be considered if you have a genuine reason. 3. Those who do not wish to engage in pvp with me at all can send me a small fee to be put on a whitelist. This fee is 200 gold coins per week per level over level 4. So level 4 magi can pay 200 a week, level 5 400 a week etc. There is no negative consequences for not being on the list and prices, duration of protection etc will be subject to change in regards to your feedback. This is available to those within 4 and a half minutes of Broukendale as you will be wasting your money otherwise. 4. If I breach any of the rules, a restitution fee wll be paid of 200 money per level past 4 of the offended party, plus a refund if you were on the whitelist. Further, you will receive complimentary whitelist protection for a week. 5. All these rules are null and void for individuals my clan is warring with or who pvp me. These guidelines are my personal idea and any problems with them directed to me and not my clan. Hopefully this makes the many aggrieved parties of muelsfell feel safer. |

Huh. For future reference, if I ever start PvPing much again, I follow rules 3, 5, and 4 (except with regard to number 3.) |

...so in other words, you follow no rules? |

It looks like this could be summed up as follows: If you ask nicely I'll leave you alone if I feel like it. If you give me shinies, I'll leave you alone for longer. If I break either of these rules, I'll pay restitution. So...further thoughts anyone? |

@Echothrice You've basically summed up my rules although completely misinterpreting rule 2. I will always stop if I am asked (as long as it's from multiple attacks which is what I normally do. The length of time is basically just a consideration of how much damage I did to the workshop ie comparing knocking a level 5 barricade down to rubble and doing inconsequential damage to the golem or obliterating a level 15 barricade and destroying their golem. And just as an aside, I've always had rule 2 as a policy but rule 3 is just for anyone who doesn't want to send weekly messages after I attack. |

alright, thanks for clarifying. that seems like a pretty standard rule of thumb. i think a lot of new players might not realize that the best way to get someone to stop is to ask nicely. (profanity is not asking nicely. to those of you i speak to, shame on you. to those who keep it clean and polite, no harm shall befall you.) |

Apparently, however, asking your clan ambassador or SM to send a note on your behalf is right out. Even if the ambassador is your girlfriend who lives with you and has more free time to negotiate such things. |

Thankyou Echothrice, i don't appreciate people abusing me when they are asking me to stop attacking them and Yami, when I say "Only requests from the individual will be accepted, not from clan admin" that is exactly what I mean. I don't feel that it is fair for me to make exceptions for those few individuals. It takes less than 5 minutes to send me a message and is probably faster for you to send it to me yourself rather than relaying it through a clan ambassador. These are my rules and I'll have them how I like them. |
