Darghelm, in the Foothills of Ulvania
The hardy people of Ulvania value family bonds and friends over all else, so Darghelm has developed an extensive network of taverns, cozy inns, and messaging systems. They are not a cowardly nor xenophobic people and so allow people from all over the continent to use their taverns and speakeasy establishments.

Name: Kaelas or 'Kae'
Title: Chancellor, Dean of Engineering and Professor of Runic Metalworking.
Clan: Magisterius University

Greetings everybody! I'm an Eyrien Warlord Prince by the name of Kaelas. Course, it's just a title, I'm not the son of a king or anything but you can still bow or curtsy if you'd like. Joined Magisterius University due to a common interest with the late Founder Sterling about a certain bardess' epic tale. In his last days, Sterling left the ruling of the University to both my friend Toast and myself- and we have done our best to uphold that trust.

Beyond my duties to the University, I also believe in having a hands-on approach in running my personal lands. I invest nearly all of the money I earn as arcane adviser to the Darghelm Merchants Consortium into improving the working of my landsmen. Currently, I'm making great strides in improving our metalworking technology (although I have been putting aside a little each day towards improving my manor's defenses as well). I still find great pleasure in the modifications I made to my first golem Alpha. Installing iron type limbs on a fleshie chassis has greatly improved the durability and effectiveness of Alpha, which is pleasing both for the sentimental and economic value.

OOC (Out of Character): My Magus in the game is an elderly male, perhaps nearing the middle of his fifth millennium (Eyriens often live to be seven or eight thousand years old, more if they become Guardians or demon-dead). He is very old-school in regards to honor, loyalty and duty but tries to make allowances for the more modern morality of others. Due to nature and age both, Kaelas is somewhat fussy about details and prefers the more intellectual sides of life. His greatest fault is that he leashes his temper so tightly that he represses his anger nearly all the time, thus making him seem rather cold at times. This could also lead to him losing his temper violently one day. You may have also noticed that he thinks he's witty.

He has moved to the Land of Muelsfell only recently from his homeland of Avaski, where is not of Muelsfell or anywhere you can reach by foot or wing, (about a decade before the Agoroshian Magus Cabal divided) but has grown very attached to the land and its people. Kaelas runs his Manor (the workshop and the lands surrounding it) much like the English medieval feudal lords were supposed to. His citizens give him their labor and trust and he returns to them his protection and wisdom. None save his seneschal, Geoffry, who traveled with him from their home, know of his temper or much of his history (BTW-seneschals are like Batman's Alfred).

--(the following is Kaelas arrival to Muelsfell)

Mid-Jinnmal 1668, in The Southmount's Eye in Askar.

A herd of red dybbuk stand grazing in a sheltered glen, warily watching for any approaching golems. Unfortunately for them, golems rarely attack from the air so they were completely unprepared for two large humanoids carrying several large trunks to suddenly fall in their midst from twenty feet up.

The male who will later be known to some as Geoffry, sits up after a moment and glares at the other male, his friend and master, the future Chancellor of MU. "So what happened to having 'perfected' the travel spell? And what the Hells are you sitting on?"

"Ah, some type of herd animal, I think. Or parts of one anyway. I think I did rather well considering it's not like I could practice a one-way trip." Kaelas stands up and gathers the trunks up. "The city of Mottonsborough is due west of here. The man who will sell us our new identities works there. We should get going." Geoffry nods and the two begin the trek.
--
Elsewhere in Muelsfell, a being known once and again as Denerid starts in great surprise. A careful observer might have noticed he almost blinked. Something had just happened to greatly influence the skein of Fate without any warning. This must be investigated immediately.
--
"So here are your identification papers and the deed to your new land in the Shilo Steppe in Askari. I hope you enjoy it but if you don't I'd be more than happy to deal with you again." The overly-honest looking official says this as he quickly ushers Kaelas and Geoffry out of his office, clutching the pouch full of perfectly cut diamonds to his side.

After they walk to a nearby cafe and order something that at least looks familiar, Geoffry laughs. "Well, at least some things are the same everywhere. Everyone we've meet so far could have fit right in at home. Well, except for the one standing behind you." Kaelas turns around to see, the building across the street. Which would be normal if not for the fact that there is a person standing right in front of him. "Hi?" Kaelas asks somewhat nonplussed.
--
"Duck." The stranger, hearing the matter-of-fact suggestion, decides to go along with it and drops to a crouch. The semi-transparent figure makes a sweeping gesture with his hand and a flurry of small strips of paper fly out of his cloak and impact on empty air a few feet in front of Denerid. A high pitched screech later, a lizard-like creature falls to the ground covered in paper-cuts the size of sword wounds. To the left, his bone golem grabs another creature off a nearby table and begins to shred it. The second, smaller stranger has at this point taken cover behind the larger one, who has retrieved a massive war blade from somewhere. He uses it to kill the last creature, which is surprising as most are unable to sense them, even if they know to be looking for them. The spectral figure turns to the armed stranger and ask "Am I to assume that this is your doing?" Denerid inspects the person before him. Very tall and with a build that suggests a good deal of combat training, he appears older but still very much in his prime. Combined with the aura of power and the look of command in his eyes, this would not be an easy fight if it came to that.
--
Before him stands a gray apparition in an all-concealing cloak. The combination of a skeletal frame and the figure's spectral translucence combines to give the impression that this being is not really there, but rather being looked upon from some great distance. Some unearthly light leaks from the hood of the cloak, and the same light emanates from the many strips of paper that orbit around the figure. "Well, we didn't bring them or make them but they're probably our fault in some way or another. Thanks for the help, by the way. My name is Kaelas." He gives a slight bow.
--
"And I am Denerid. I think we need to speak on many things, but perhaps in a more private place." Denerid replies with a bow of his own. "Lead on, my new friend" Kaelas replies.
