The Town Square of Mottonsborough

Unlike other provinces, soldiers are a common sight amoung the population -- and with just cause, as the Dimitrian Republican Guard is one of the best ways to make a good living here. Due to heavy taxation, those not in the military or working in the larger cities tend to have a tough time making ends meet, so competition for these prime jobs is fierce.

Fortunately, you are no mere peasant but a magus with access to the jobs of your choice.

So what's the job of choice for your character. Might be an significant part of roleplay, what your magus does to earn the coin to build their golems.

During my off hours from the clan, I'm the Proprietor and Master Cook at Sissel's Roast Beast Restaurant, Tavern and Inn in the beautiful town of Asylum in Icemuse.

*shameless plug on*

Sissel's is famous for its Garlic Roasted Icemuse Plains Bison (our signature dish), and its various seafood and shellfish dishes (when in season). We also serve up a variety of conventional fare - beef, lamb, pork, poultry, you name it. Our fruits and vegetables are always fresh and in season and our selection of cheeses and wines is one of the largest in all Muelsfell. At Sissel's we train our chefs in the cooking techniques of the other provinces of Muelsfell. If it's not on our extensive menu, just ask. Chances are we can accomodate you. Heck, we can even prepare your meal NWO-style* if you are so inclined. Travelers from anywhere in Muelsfell, can find "comfort food" here.

Our inn is rated 4 stars by the Muelsfell Epicurean and Travel Society. We have double-size beds, stoves, and running water in every suite...and each suite will have at least one window with a view of the beautiful landscape of Icemuse. For an added small fee during the warmer times of the year, we can enchant your suite with cooling breeze-type spells. Staying at our inn entitles you to discounted meals at the restaurant and as always, pitchers of the mild, thirst-quenching local ale is complimentary.

Edit: Almost forgot. Come try our new outdoor hot-water spas (complimentary to inn guests, of course). We also now have communal AND private bathing facilities.

*New World Order-style: We animate your food. The NWO guys are always saying that, "it ain't worth eating if it doesn't fight back".

A palefaced chap in a fur-on-the-inside jacket and goggles walks into Sissel(ers?) and orders a lamb gyro and some unfermented grape juice.

He asks about your policy on golems, tries to figure out the waitstaff and the layout of the inn...

(Can't have a restaurant in GolemWorld without someone wondering how "put-together" the waitress is, and a Magus can't visit an inn without wondering where he's supposed to park his golem.)

(unless he's just scouting)

And he's a pretty good one, too. A few of our customers have caught themselves eating their napkins. He can make hardtack and swill taste like 3-star.

my job when i'm not busy in the clan is helping others.
i work as a healer. i've been told by many people that i am one of the best healers around and that my spells are second to none.
i would love to believe them but i'm not particularly good at taking compliments. i personally would say that i am quite average my self. but people keep coming to me so i must be doing something right for the community.
oh almost forgot i also do a lot of work at the chapel too.

also recently got a grant from the proffence of icemuse to set up my own healing academy.
i'm currently running it with the help of my two best apprentices Ayame Shinoku and Ziara nekoshi.
if anyone is interested in a career as a healer please put all requests to Ayame and Ziara.
oh and would just like to thank the entire clan "Otaku 2" for putting in a generous donation to the academy.
with out your help the academy wouldn't be in the position that it is today and wouldn't be helping nearly as many people as it currently does.
keep up the good work Otaku 2!

grave robber, it used to take forever to get any money out of it but since I started helping with the flesh deliveries it's gotten easier
what, you didn't know about the flesh deliveries, did you really think that a grave would just generate flesh? they just show us where to drop it off.

Masterslug's waste co.

My company collects the flesh parts that Mikke's and the other Salvage Yards can't recycle.

We drain out all the embalming fluid and then dispose of the parts in a safe and environmentally friendly way.

As a side line we have also started selling pickled meat products and a vodka like drink (with an intresting after taste) to local Restaurant and Taverns.

Suggestions that the two business are in any way linked are highly refuted .....
