Like any market, the prices fluctuate. Iron is the main primary staple folks are looking for although any of the others may get a run on them at any given time. Any of the secondary resources are also valuable.

Items and equipment vary on who is making them, and what the market demand is :) Although if you search in these threads long enough, you can find listings of raw amterials which should give you a good baseline.

I know, not terribly helpful, but prices change enough anything I type may not apply.

If you join TOMU, we keep our prices standardized across our members, so our current clan selling price is typically an accurate depiction of value in the marketplace (we have people whose job it is to monitor how much resources are going for and update the thread)

And since no shameless plug should go unanswered, if you join MAGIER we'll give you whatever resources or items you need anytime for free or all but free.

The prices fluctuate depending on need and amount. For small amounts they tend to go for a higher ratio as that is usually lower level magus' who are short on production and have a surplus in gold (at least at first). At mid-game, this reverses and gold is the hold up. At higher levels, this flips again and a magus will earn several thousand gold a work period, and the resource costs for higher level building/golems make resource buying attractive again.

As for what I offer, in increments of 25000, I give the following amount of gold coins (gc) for each resource:

Iron 1500gc
Stone 1000gc
Others 800gc

This is what I offer and I usually have no problem finding any takers. That is not to say that this is the "going rate" but it is what works for my needs. I always need more stone and iron, sometimes wood and clay and rarely flesh or bone.

Hope this helps, and after you check out the other clans and consider their offers, make sure to talk to someone from OTAKU (either branch will work) just so you can see all of the options out there. No matter what clan you join (if any), welcome to the game and enjoy. Any questions, just ask.

Dilvish, Lord of Iron.

Tsk tsk. Both CommComms and Yami are completely accurate. What Comms doesn't mention though is the prerequisite signing away of your soul. At TOMU, we only borrow it for a time, dress it up pretty, then let you play with it on weekends. I mean....

TOMU all the way. Message me for an invite. First 5 get a free bronze cannon*.

Yikes, whole lotta recruiting, not much answering going on here. Admittedly, it is a bit tough to answer, but for small quantities (1k-2.5k) I think it often looks about like:
Flesh: 50-100 flesh/gp
Bone: Practically worthless, at least as cheap as flesh
Wood: Maybe 75-100gp for 2500 wood?
Clay: about as wood, maybe slightly more expensive
Stone: not so sure, but maybe 150ish for 2500?
Iron: anything more than 250 for 2500 is robbery, a bit less is great.

And placing your own offers is usually a good way to go, unless you see something you know is a bargain. You can offer something a little under the "standard" and odds are someone will pick it up. Heck, I was selling 50k bone for 500 money yesterday.

And, what the heck, join OASIS!

Our current primary prices seem to be more or less holding at:

Flesh: 105m
Bone: 80m
Wood: 150m
Clay: 165m
Stone: 285m
Iron: 550m

as of Oct 17, 2008, 10:18 am (prices given per wagon of 2500). Our iron prices might be artificially high since we discourage the selling of iron, though.

Yeah, I don't really understand why iron prices are so high, I've been openly selling it for 275 gold per 2500 iron, so if anyone's buying it for more than that you're getting ripped off.

I suppose it would be supply and demand, the fact that Iron is used by many magi is a telling point. There's also impatience, I know I've paid too much for something, but I still bought it as I needed certain materials for repairs, or buildings, or parts, etc...
If you had a choice between waiting 3 hours to make enough Iron to repair your golem, or spending more cash to do it quicker, which would you do?
Or if you're being slammed and need to fix your golem now, rather than have it destroyed.
There are those who raise the price because people buy it there, there are other who simply mimic them... Then there are those who are foolish and put it up for far too much, and it sits, possibly because the mats are being 'protected' who knows...
But everyone wants to make a profit, it's a part of what makes us tick...
