[Round 1] Homunculus begins to slosh through the muck towards a bog mummy while a bog mummy begins to slosh through the muck towards Homunculus. The defender's razor-like nails are out of range with about 90 feet between them, but the attacker readies its ironwood longbow.
Homunculus attacks with its ironwood longbow and misses 3 times, failing to hit at all.

[Round 2] Homunculus continues to slosh through the muck towards a bog mummy while a bog mummy continues to slosh through the muck towards Homunculus. The defender's razor-like nails are out of range with about 80 feet between them.
Homunculus attacks with its ironwood longbow and misses 2 times, but also hits once on the pelvis (6 dmg).

[Round 3] Homunculus continues to slosh through the muck towards a bog mummy while a bog mummy continues to slosh through the muck towards Homunculus. The defender's razor-like nails are out of range with about 70 feet between them.

A bog mummy reaches out and attacks with its razor-like nails and misses once, but also hits the chest (4 dmg), the chest (5 dmg), the right hand (10 dmg -- CRITICAL HIT!), the chest (4 dmg), the chest (5 dmg), the right hand (5 dmg) and the chest (5 dmg). The right hand falls off and hits the ground with a dull *CLANG*!
Homunculus uses its ironwood longbow and hits once on the left leg (6 dmg).
A bog mummy falls into the water with a splash, blackened claws stretched stiffly out.


Sheesh! That desperation attack could've cost me a golem if I hadn't fixed it up earlier...

It feels cheap to almost get my behind handed back after such a smooth going.

A few strength upgrades and chainmail on the chest and you'll be golden.

I think 4 is the minimum damage, that the bog mummy does ... so better armor does not really help.
