There oughtta be some side effects to being too evil - you know - merchants cost more, Can't use bazaar cause everyone runs from you = things like that. If you are good, maybe On a very very rare chance you are given something unexpected - esp if you do lost of missions. Also are there going to be Items that are alignment specific. I would make the best items good as it is harder to be good than evil.... Make some items alignment specific - fists of righteous glory - bonus damage vs evil greater than X amount. ACK! what am i sayin' < EEEEEvil grin> I also hope that as clans develop there will be some that are drawn along alignment lines. There should be some effect to the alignments. |

well, someone seems a little biased against the evil side of the spectrum. I see no reason why the game should favor one side over the other. I also don't get your reasoning as to why it's easier to stay evil then to stay good. Just attack evil people. Making the game favor good over evil is good in a rping stance, but not for a buisiness stance. If he puts this in, he's gonna piss off a lot of people. And by that, i mean he's gonna piss off a lot of Poseidon. I like the idea of alignment based items though.Last Edited: Apr 22, 2008, 3:04 am |

I think we were promised alignment specific items... But I've found I care a lot less about alignment than I used to. ^^ I guess it's just a ploy to divide the game roughly in half to form 'teams'. :P |

Shoot, I'm not even sure favoring good over evil is a good RP stance. I know some of the most entertaining and memorable games I have played had us all as evil. Admittedly, good vs. evil is the easiest way to do it, and I admit a personal preference for playing good. Still, I think that Arkham knows what he's doing in this, or at least I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I think we will have to wait for alignment based weapons/clans to see real impact from alignment. |

Nah Nah, it's not favouring good... Make it more realistic... Good guys go to the bazaar, evil goes to the black market/thieves guild... Or the generic stuff costs more, or a transaction fee... Would make finding a good deal on the markets much harder... and you would have an Angelic selling stuff next door to an Abomination... But it's probably too much work right now... 8) |

But the point I'm trying to make is that if they do make little things like this happen to aligned magi, they can't stack all the helpful effects to good people and all the hurtful ones to evil ones. It has to stay balanced. |
