Can I remove individual parts of my golem? I heard about the hacksaw and the crazy motivation it costs, but when I saw the hacksaw description I was hoping that I might not need it for simple flesh and bone removal.

Nope, you'll need it for even those. I'm guessing the nature of the magics required to animate golems render the Fulcrum Hacksaw necessary for any removal.

Bummer, using the hacksaw means that doing anything else for the day is pretty much out of the picture. Seems odd that a magi that can create a golem and put pieces on at will doesn't have the means to remove the pieces.

I think it's almost always better to just to use it and not repair the part you want knocked off. You can also armor up the other parts and try sending it against something especially strong. If you want the pelvis gone, make sure not to put expensive legs or leg armor on though.
