MAGIER is but one clan made up of individuals who value those virtues illustrated at the top of this thread.

We do have spiked chain technology, as it took us many trials to find a strong enough glue to hold the spikes on. These chains add no less than thirty (30) damage to an attack, and are available to any of our members.

I, and likely many other MAGIER members, find it rather humorous how many of you jump to the conclusion that we are cheating unreasonable bullies the second there is a confrontation. The "politest" message I have received in response to an attack was from TOMU, and they demanded I paid them back for a golem I broke! You, Shaokahn, in your first message demanded: "And I also want to know what hack you used to get more experience than me whilst attacking me with a superior golem." as my bone destroyed your clay.

It is somewhat disturbing that instead of attempting a reasonable discourse or a stand up fight, you would all sooner slander us on our recruitment thread.

For all our supposed hipocracy and evilness we do not slander or harass you through the messages or forums. We carry out our duty and present reasonable and often beneficial alternatives to those who would stand in the way of that duty. We are not out to get you, we are here to promote virtue and uphold values. It is a grave misfortune that so many take umbrage in our pursuit of a better realm for everyone.

where are lying, spying, and picking on those that cannot defend themselves mentioned in your values? I didn't see them.

Hey, play the game however you want, and justify it with whatever means pleases you. But that doesn't mean we have to believe what you say when your actions speak much louder than your words.

Er, sorry, that was me.

I couldn't help it. I was hungry. If you could, go tubeless next time. The stems aren't that tasty.

Oh good, so anyone can join in the indiscriminate attacking of everyone else with confidence that they won't sustain that much damage in comparison. Yes, this is irony.

CommComms also said:

as my bone destroyed your clay.

Good memory, buddy, it was a stone golem destroyed by a level 1 bone. I wouldn't have even minded so much if it was level 3 bone or something.

You made it sound like you had some in depth knowledge of the battle logic in your response to that message, by the way. I would like to know how you obtained it. Is that quite polite enough. I think it is, considering how you've took me from a pretty sturdy settled magus to golemless and virtually penniless, which wouldn't be so bad if you weren't claiming it was in the name of good.

CommComms then went on to say:

It is somewhat disturbing that instead of attempting a reasonable discourse or a stand up fight, you would all sooner slander us on our recruitment thread.

Iron flametongues vs spiked chains? Sure, maybe someone will sell me a golem capable of winning in these odds for 5000 coins? Actually no, I doubt it now I use logic.

CommComms finally went on to say:

We carry out our duty and present reasonable and often beneficial alternatives to those who would stand in the way of that duty. We are not out to get you, we are here to promote virtue and uphold values. It is a grave misfortune that so many take umbrage in our pursuit of a better realm for everyone.

"Presenting alternatives" is interesting. Making that a threat. 'Either join our clan or keep being attacked' was roughly my translation of your "reasonable alternative". Since when have I opposed you guys before CommComms came and opened hostilities? You attack ruthlessly and with no just reason and still prattle on about how you are the righteous ones. Sounds like you've all been well brainwashed. I would like you to elaborate more on the "we're not out to get you" part, that's how it seems to me.

I think the Knights should change their name to the Corleone Family. Where's Elliot Ness when you need him?

A truce you say? I was merely informed of a cessation of war, and thus ceased treating my dealings with NWO as though we were at war. This means that NWO members get attacked when it is convenient rather than exclusively. They are all relatively evil, and thus all subject to occasional correctional prodding. I'm pretty sure I recall your BETA breaking more than a couple of my golems back when I was starting out. I must've been around level three back then, you where what? Level 12? I still miss my starter fleshie and first few bone golems. Thanks for letting this kettle know how black he is though, pot.

I do not focus on people with a lower level, it's just that there are significantly many more lower level Magus' than higher level, and with the new barricades it is exceedingly difficult to attack golems behind high level walls with spikes without a large expenditure of resources and experience. We at MAGIER are currently working on a solution to this, and will hopefully have a practical solution in effect within several days.

Regardless, I have never once been requested to cease my attacks by anyone from NWO, and of the few requests I have received the most reasonable one consisted of thinly veiled hostility and demands for repayment.

If it must be said yet again: If you have a problem with any part of MAGIER please contact the individual offender or Father Coyne with a polite request. We ask that you at least have the decency to cease this libel and petty mudslinging on the forums, as we do not go to your recruitment threads to take a dump.

Now CommComms, you best apologise. I'd hate to have to exact what you've done to me on your lower level clan members and be as bad as you, but believe me you've driven my morals into a deep and dark corner.

A polite request, stop attacking me, please.

There's two versions, ignore whichever you feel is the least affective.

Please, lad! There's no need to stoop so low! The Magiers' ill-gotten power has corrupted them enough; I'd rather see you quit than allow it to corrupt you as well. Actually, if enough people leave the game with complaints to Kep, that may turn out to be the only way to do anything about this problem.

Was that supposed to be a sarcastic jibe? Well let's make this serious business then! The way that CommComms does it too, not face to face or anything equal like that...

Where do you propose doing that? There is no inter-clan diplomacy forum.

This is the Clan Discussions forum, it is not exclusive to recruitment. A new thread here would be completely appropriate.

People. Seriously. You're giving me a brain hemorrhage. Make a thread called "Discussion of MAGIER tactics" or "MAGIER multis abuse newbies (non-sexually)" or "y u MAGIER guyz kill my golemz lol" "RECRUITMENT THREAD MAGIER FALSEHOODS OMG". Anything. Just please keep it out of a recruitment thread.

The sanctity of recruitment threads is the only thing that separates us from lower species like cockroaches and Yankees fans.

Or better yet, join Hereti-Corp, we also have pretty golems and spiked chains, but we actually frown on beating people unreasonably.

PS Is it un-cool to hijack someone else's recruitment thread? I would hate to stoop to the level of a lower species. If I could even find one. And nothing against MAGIER, they generally seem like cool folks. Mostly.

With all due respect, I hate you both :p

Seriously though, MAGIER, within 24 hours we'll have a level 5 library and whatever world-slaying weapon comes with that. Or maybe we'll get nothing new and have to wait until Ark adds in more weapons. Or maybe, just maybe, eye lasers. Either way, we rock. Join and you can rock also.
