I'm just thinking here of something to liven up the game a little. I think there are too much resources in the game perhaps, and we could do with something to balance it out. like earthquakes doing random damage to workshops in a region, or floods washing away some of the contents of the storage bins. Maybe a giant worm tunnels into the basement and swallows a golem or a level of basement is lost to damage. Just a few thoughts of random occurrences that could plague the land, and i bet they would cause more hassle to higher level magi than lower. maybe even clan headquarters would not be safe from torment. Of course, first priority is the spell system. but after that..... |

Indeed, but with the bad luck, should a balance of good be had. Like make the worm fight the golem on guard, and if it wins, a boost to a random resource. Or mayhaps the earthquake which broke your workshop reveils a long hidden stoage room filled with a cache of secondaries. One could also argue that only the higher level magi would be affected, or mayhaps have a proportionally higher chance to have something happen, good or bad. |

Or it could just be a percentage, so it effects the high and low in an equivalent manner. Edit: And there could be a spell like "summon giant worm" where you summon said worm to attack someone's workshop, but there's a chance it'll backfire and attack you?Last Edited: Nov 12, 2008, 11:55 pm |

I like this idea, the only problem is the possible loss of your Homunculus. if that is made impossible then i am all for it. |

What's wrong with the possibility of losing the Homunculus? They are thoroughly overused, isn't it a bit odd that the golem most people seem to find most useful is handed to you on a platter at the beginning of the game? |

Says the homunkiller. Half-price repairs and expensive to replace. It's like the soul - you get one free at birth but it's generally better not to sell it to someone. |

There's no problem with losing your homunculus because you forgot and left it out or because you tried to bite off a little more than you could chew, but it is a bit too important to lose to a random event that you can't defend against. Oh, and about souls, I've sold mine a couple of times, once for a stick of gum. |

thinking about it, losing any golem would be a bit drastic. maybe just damage them a bit, for inconveniences sake... |

Losing a golem might not be a big deal, but the items on it could be annoying. If this golembane worm could only eat your guardian but spit out any equipment into your storage area I would be all for it. Too many people hide behind fleshies anyway, easy to replace. |

Losing their most favorite golem has been known to make grown men.... well, bummed out anyway. I'd suggest instead that it gobble up things from the storage bin and/or resources. |
