I decided to bring this up as a suggestion because this is second time a level 15 yahoo was attacking me. First time I was level two and he was 14, now I'm level three. The guy only gets one exp for his trouble, and I get to rebuild my wall. I also have been attacked by a level 9 and a 10 when I was level 2. I'm sure that I'm not the only person who has had this happen, and while I know there is no opt-out of PvP it's kind of ridiculous how somebody so much stronger than you can attack your workshop. In any case the one exp thing is incentive for people to not attack others, but it doesn't seem to be working. While there should be no max level for you to attack, there should be something like a five level minimum that you can attack others. This would mean if you're level twelve, the lowest level player you can attack is a level seven. It probably would save some people from griefers.Last Edited: Dec 6, 2008, 4:06 am |

Big downside to that though is that the people who are already in the high 20's and 30's for level have nobody they can really attack, which would be a problem to them in some cases. |

So that means that a level 28 can go and attack a level 5? That just seems broken, and abusable. |

The level five could also have been spending his/her XP on other things and have maxed out research and have several addy 5 guards. Level means squat in this game because other than clan stuff there's no level requirement for anything. |

Also if you are so inclined there IS a way to opt out of pvp for a month. You can get premium tickets either by donating to Arkham or trying to get some on the market. Otherwise, you can join a clan and they will help you defend your workshop, providing you with a defender and/or clan guard. OTAKU still has room, if you are interested. ^^ |

I did want to join a clan, I just wanted to get a little farther along so I'd be more useful. If you guys are willing to take me, though, I'll certainly join. I'd rather be in one of the big clans. |

I know the gents in TOMU are very nice, took me in, helped me out, now I'm sitting high enough up I can help others. But all clans have thier high lights. |

MAGIER has a really incredibly awesome new secret thing. We're not telling anyone, so you'll have to join us to find out. Real shame too, it's so freaking awesome I wish we could share it with everyone. It'd really blow a few minds. Too bad though. Other than joining a clan the best way to not get attacked by a high level person is not be be a target. don't put out shiny golems with shiny things, have a high wall, and don't keep large stacks of gold lying around. |

I think there is some truth to the idea that higher level means better equipment. If nothing else, it means you earn more gold per hour and can upgrade buildings faster through outright purchase. It would seem reasonable to either place punishments on attacking someone way lower than you, or to develop incentives that make attacking lower levels not worth your time. So yes, someone who is leveling slowly at level 5 may be better equipped than another level 5, but this wouldn't be a bad start to a system of checks and balances. |

I've just recently been power leveling. Back at level 7 I was capable of attacking anyone almost indiscriminately and mounting an acceptable defense. I could attack anyone and only have to defend against a few counterattacks. Making it so that higher levels have issues attacking lower leveled magi is not quite the best way to go about things, since that truthfully opens up the reverse situation - lower leveled guys picking on the higher leveled ones. Isn't that silly? |
