I've avoided iron limbs in the past because I need iron for other things. But, after almost losing my starter to a monster with 'claw' attacks, I decided to pull up the golem Chart [help.muelsfell.com/charts.php] to see what limbs offered the best slicing resistance (I assume that's what claws do). I was surprised to see that iron offers the best resistances in all categories. Now I clearly see why everything is inferior to iron. How about mixing it up a little? Maybe give bone the best piercing resist but the worst impact. Give clay the best slice resistance. Whatever comes to mind when you picture that golem type getting whacked with a sword, a spear and a club. Maybe even give negative resists for some things. For example, I picture a clay golem 'shattering' from mace impact but able to shrug off a piercing spear no problem. This would greatly open up the usefulness of different golem types, depending on your preferred farming mob. |

I can just imagine a clay golem in a fight against a mace...*splat* *squelch* *blink blink* "where'd the mace go? O_o" |

Ha, I thought the opposite. I was picturing a 'kiln-fired' clay golem. Tho now that you mention it and I look at the picture of him, he's definitely oozing clay. |
