I noticed recently, and maybe others can verify this, but if I send out a golem and it takes xx amount of time to return (say 1min 30sec) and he's damaged, I can click "workshop" and "examine" and make repairs to him even though he's not physically present. Not sure if I can place him on the worktable since I haven't had to do major repairs, but I can heal battle damage and send him immediately back out. Unsure if this is a bug, since it's something I'm sure would have been noticed by now. If it's intentional, then that's pretty cool. If it's a minor oversight, then hope we can keep it since it's kinda handy. Just so you know what I'm saying, I'll give you an example: Say I send my golem to Graynsfell Ruins, it says "Distance Sending a golem to Graynsfell Ruins would involve a return trip of 1 min 30 sec." I choose a monster to combat, "Zombie Soldier" for instance. Now during that battle I take some damage but I win and now must wait the 1 min 30 sec for him to return. I can click on "Workshop" while he's returning, click "Examine" to access his page and perform repairs while he's still on his way back. By the time the 1.5 mins is up and he's actually on site, he's repaired and ready to go again. |

It's normal. And a good feature. :) If it is a bug then we have been using it for a loooong time.Last Edited: Dec 19, 2008, 5:34 am |

This isn't a bug, it's intentional and more than a little handy. You can't move the golem anywhere else while it's returning from a mission, just repair parts. |

Wasn't sure. I do admit it's handy as hell, but is it possible to place it on the worktable? If so I'd tend to consider that a bug since how can he be there AND on his way back to the shop at the same time? And yes, I do know we use magic :p I'll just assume that I'm always able to make repairs at a distance because of a personal afinity I've developed seeing as how I've built him with my own hands :D |

Or perhaps some sort of portable hole attached to all golems that opens onto the workshop, allowing you to repair them. Magic after all. |

Portable hole makes me think of cartoons :D I've checked, you can't place him on the worktable, so it's just something odd I hadn't really noticed. Repairs on the fly is definately handy though, perhaps my apprentices run out and carry the needed resources, that could explain why I need to pay them so much. I've always got my nose buried in a book or some interesting powder that either I don't pay attention, or I'm busy hallucinating things (sometimes I burn the wrong thing in the forge and pretty colors seem to be everywhere). Much thanks to all the more learned colleagues. |

Yup, as stated, it's intentional. I sort of picturing it as walking beside the golem and slapping repairs on it as it returns. But however you justify it in the roleplaying sense, it's necessary as a game convenience. Kep |

Repairs via swordspace, gotta love em! >D Others might know it as hammerspace. It is where rpg characters have been keeping weapons and items since the beginning of time. Whenever you want to keep stuff without having to carry it yourself think "swordspace". Brought to you by ACME. |
