Echo's Law is a modification of Godwin's Law(look here for details) [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_Law]: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one." Echo's Law stats: "As a Muelsfell discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving MAGIER approaches one." Invoking Echo's Law upon a forum thread should result in either an immediate shift back on topic, or the cessation of all further conversation therein. |

Thank you Iaidan for a splendid example of Echo's Law in practice. To answer your question, I named it after myself because I first thought of applying it to muelsfell and mentioned it. I have noticed this happening time and again, and if anyone else had brought up godwin's law, in forum, message, or chat, this dubious honor would belong to them. |
