I had a combat tonight where I delt 354 dmg to a golem, and 893 dmg to a wall. Unless I am misreading the text of the Achievement, that should qualify as dealing more than 1000 points of damage in a single combat (1247 to be exact). I've forwarded the combat report to you.

It'd be WAY too easy if wall counted, it only counts damage to the golem itself.

I can't figure out what type of golem could _take_ that much damage... Maybe a level 5 Adamantine?

I'm just saying that by the text of the achievement "Deal more than 1000 points of damage in a single combat" that qualifies. If that's not what's ment, the text should perhaps be changed to "Deal more than 1000 points of damage to a single opponent in a single combat" (I'm assuming that if you could manage to deal more than 1000 points to some NPC it would count too.).

Eh, Mentoc proved it possible, it's just really really hard. a Stone 5, Bronze 5, Brass 5, Iron 4 or 5, or Addy 3-5 can all take that much damage if you get really lucky, but I think you'll only get it with iron 5, or Addy 4-5, although with the Addy you'd get some trouble dishing out that much damage.

Neither the wall damage nor direct magic damage count towards this achievement (Flying Anvil won't count since it's direct magic damage, but Thunderstrike or Elephant Strength should count, for example). It's intended to be one of the more difficult ones to accomplish. It IS possible however.

I've amended the description to reflect this.
