While I can mine for gold, it follows that I should be able to choose a precious resource. The mine could let you convert motivation into Gold, Silver, or Gems. No need to make a new site on the map, just a choice of which vein to work on in the existing mine perhaps?

Adamantine is simply too hard to be mined by a weekend warrior with noting but a shovel & pickaxe.

I like this idea!

While there are plenty of gems available through other means, most people just don't sell them is all, market demand isn't quite enough for that and it's easier to stockpile for personal use. So for those without good gems droppers near them, or the ability to tackle the higher level creatures this is good.

Although I think we need more items to make that require silver. Maybe I'm not seeing it, but seems a little wasted for the most part ATM.

Tzadkiel brought this up because of a newly acquired silver-using item, that I covet...

Oh, it is exceedingly shiny - and I think my clan is very happy that I spent 7 months farming the Spined Troll and had close to 40K? silver banked away. I think I will get that much again before the build queue is complete ;)

WRT Gems: they are exceedingly valuable, and I had hoarded a few hundredK - but they are often converted to exotic metals. I think we have a hammer that takes like 12K brass or something, that's a little above and beyond personal use.

Completely apart from mechanics and who needs what to build which higher level clan item - it is a role playing and atlas idea as much as anything else.

Thant and the fact that it *feels* like such an easy thing to add. I want lots of features, this one is low hanging fruit.
