Most of you should already be aware of this upcoming event, but on the off-chance I missed a clan or two, here's a public announcement:
In this time of strife and chaos, it seems the only inter-clan communication these days is done via our golems, and it's not like they're throwing tea parties. However, as you are probably aware, TOMU clan has always promoted communication between clans via our conference initiative. Thus, to try and facilitate a more interactive gaming experience, we're holding the first Business Social of the new year.
The Business Social will be first and foremost a party; dress code is business casual, and virtual refreshments will be served. However, unlike a traditional party, it will not be taboo or a faux pas to conduct business; if your clan wishes to strike up an alliance or a deal of some sort with another clan, this will provide a choice opportunity to do so.
The Social will be held on Thursday, March 5th; the room will be staffed from noon until midnight eastern time, so feel free to drop in when you can. If you plan to attend, please RSVP so I can finalize the plans. It will be held, as usual, over IRC, in the conference room; the server is irc.darkmyst.org, and the room will be #muelsfell_conference. Please feel free to drop by at any time before or after the event, as this is a public conference room.

I must say, I'm a little disappointed that the vast majority of clans not only didn't put in an appearance (understandable, people have things to do and it was mid-week) but also didn't bother to RSVP (as the invite had asked) to let us know they wouldn't be coming. Shame shame.
OTAKU, on the other hand, made a grand showing, I'm very pleased. Lots of fun was had, friends were made, and business was conducted. MAGIER's SM also put in a nominal showing, as did EVIL's. One member of ADV also attended, and one member of CIRCLE who had let us know he wouldn't be able to make it dropped by afterwards to chat, which was nice. |
