I am tempted to armor up a level 2 iron golem with medium plate all over and send it at the giant. Anyone have any input as to the suicidal nature of this idea? I imagine I am not the only one to have thought of it. Anyone beat the giant yet? |

I thought I saw a snippet where the giant busted the golem and prevented the person from scavenging for the dropped items. That's the part that would hurt. |

L2 Iron is about L7 in the global picture. So, you'd be going against a L12 monster. You MIGHT be able to do it. Personally, I'm going to wait a bit and throw a L3 iron armored up in heavy against it. Uh... sure! Go for it! |

Gotta get enough decent armor built first...this could take a bit. |

you might want to sen an expendable golem with super cheap items just to get an Idea of how strong the giant is. |

Rigby had a go at it when it first came out...don't think he's been back since. |

I thought I read a combat log where the giant chases you off so you can't gather your dropped items. Anyone else remember that? |

I've seen combat logs that state something like that, not having a golem to defend you prevents you from scavenging... not sure if it was the giant or not. I did send a fleshie at it once, the damage didn't seem too bad if you had the armor and hitpoints to survive a few rounds, but it'd be like my buddy's clays vs the lvl 7 ogre, it takes a bit heavier golem to actually kill the thing, not just survive against it. |

Done the mountain giant with lvl 2 iron golem with light plate and it survives most of the time you'll take only 9 damage per hit but not all of the time, 10 xp per fight but haven't been able to kill it yet. |

Upgrade your powersource, that should do it. I use a elemental firegem (340 power) in a level 2 iron with token light plate (more loot carrying ability). I think I have around a 90% kill rate. |

Completely doable. Just be sure to armor it up completely. Hands and head are likely candidates for destruction, but whenever the giant knocked those off, I was always able to recover the eyes and armor. One thing to note, attack it during the day. I haven't had good luck trying at night, but I can take it with a L2 Iron every time (I believe) during the game-day. |
