Does weapon damage improve or replace the base damage of a Golem? For example: Base damage for a level 1 Flesh Golem: 3/1/2/0/0/0 Tiger Claws Damage: 0/2/5/0/0/0 The end result of the level 1 Flesh Golem's damage using the Tiger Claws is: 0/2/5/0/0/0 or 3/3/7/0/0/0 ? Also: When a Golem does damage in combat, is it adding all of the different types of damage it can do together, or is the game using the best available damage type of the Golem vs the weakest stat of it's opponent, or is the game using the best damage type of the Golem regardless of opponent defense? Example 2: Same level 1 Flesh Golem from above with 3/1/2/0/0/0 attacks monster with Defenses of 3/0/0/0/0/0 the result is the Golem hits for 6 total attack value against total defense of 3, or the Golem is smart and uses it's penetrating of 2 against the defense against penetrating of 0, or lastly it blindly uses it's impact of 3 against the defense against impact of 3 since that's it's strongest attack value? Lastly: Do the damage enhancing personal spells help ranged weapons damage? I apologize if these questions are newbish, overly complicated, or unintelligible. Thanks in advance. |

If the weapon has a +, it adds to the golem's base damage, so the first example is correct. All ranged weapons however, do NOT have a + in front of the damage, so behave as the latter case. The damage enhancing spells enhance base damage, so they do not help with ranged... although it seems that some, but not all ranged weapons are effected by the golem's strength bonus. Damage seems to be calculated as follows, although not precisely, I think there's a very small random factor, not more than a point or three. let's assume you have 8/4/6/10/0/0 and the defender has 15/2/10/4/4/6 yeah, those numbers aren't really possible, let's just follow along... Damage would be calculated by taking each number on top, and subtracting it by the number on the bottom, floored at 0, so the effective attack power would be 0/2/0/6/0/0, then you add those numbers up, which totals 8, then you add the golem's strength bonus (if applicable, which I think it is for all the weapons that don't attach to the face.) And that's how you compute damage, or at least approximate it, I think there's a very small amount of randomization to the attack or defense values before the subtraction happens. |
