I have to wonder if this idea stems from recent RP threads or the possibility that Kep is lonely and in need of a girl... |

Nah, I just remember a suggestion after all the golem artwork went in that some variety in the bodyshapes would be appreciated. I think at the time the suggestion was that clay golems should be more feminine. The brass golem artwork changed slightly, too. Less "guy-in-a-mask" and more "brass minotaur" now. :) I'd love to have the adamantine golems look like something from Vampire Princess Miyu, but that's later on. Kep |

looks cool, but a gem golems stats aren't really the greatest out there. (does anyone have 10 achievements and have this gem golem?) |

I have 10 achievements, but not the golem, I am guessing it's not active yet. Or it's for 15... |

T'was my belief that the clay golems should be feminine, particularly given how easy it would be to sculpt clay. GEM golems ... ooooh, tasty |

What level do gemstone golems count as?(Like flesh is level 1, bone 2 etc) |

I attacked a level 3 bone and got 7 xp, so presumably they count like a wood golem for level, not just for motivation use. |

Gemstone Golem did 0 dmg while his Omega did 456 dmg. The wall took 158 dmg and has fallen 1 level. You earned 7 xp and Echothrice earned 3 xp. I can verify Iaidan's claim. With a speed of only 15 though, that's not useful for much.... Time to find the gem golem's niche. |

Yup, didn't realize I was going to be facing a fairly buffed and elemental enhanced bone golem...oops:) |

it's apparently the 10 achievement thing... I was hoping I'd be able to have higher levels for my nice shiny 15, but alas it is not to be. |

Mayumi's twitter says it's supposed to be immune to night penalties, but if so it doesn't seem to be working. Unless it needs a gem head or something, since mine is only gem on chest. |

The way Mayumi rambles about heads, does make me suspect that maybe only the head conveys that property... which would make gem heads farmore useful than gem chests... |

Gemstone Golems should definitely be ignoring night time penalties. Looks like there was a messaging problem, showing a night time penalty box in the report but not actually applying the penalties. That's fixed. Also, remember I try to err toward "weaker" with new releases when I can. If the Gemstone Golems are not performing up to par, they can and will be tweaked. Kep |

And it's available now, in fact. A mediocre golem that can probably only get one hit per target for the price of the starter homunculus, one of the most valuable types in the game! Throw in your soul and you can have a special bonus - a year's supply of fruitcake. Seriously? |
