Does the timer keep ticking on construction projects while your working?

Say i want to upgrade my workshop and it has 3 hours left to build but i go start to work for 3 hours. Does the construction complete or does it continue after i finish working? I know you cant do anything else while working but is that just with starting new projects / combat?

Yes, taking a job from the job center has no effect on any of the queues. It is the best way to get cash.
