I had an offer in the market, of 1500 adamantine, for 10 tickets. Then this happened:
Moridin has accepted an offer from your market stall.

Your goods: 1500 nuggets of adamantine

Received: 0 gold coins

I recall that when I set up the offer, I accidentally had "money" selected in the dropdown, but I had nothing entered in the textbox for quantity of money, and below I entered "10" for premie tickets. The offer went up just fine and showed me as wanting premie tickets so I presumed it was okay. In actuality, that wasn't so, as it appears the market code recorded that "money" was selected in the dropdown and ended up giving me 0 of that, instead of the premie tickets that it displayed in the stall.

Tried to recreate this and came up with some very interesting results, and I could sometimes duplicate it. If an offer of 1500 adamantine is place with a zero in the resource field and 5 in the premium ticket field, it puts up two offers one of which is 1000 coins. Only removed the 1500 adamantine, however.

Put in a fix for this and refunded your adamantine. Let me know if it continues to be a problem.

Category: Marketplace Update

Still broken:( I even had it set on "no resource" not flesh. Pretty sure at least.

Name-with-held-to-protect-the-innocent has accepted an offer from your market stall.

Your goods: 25000 rods of iron

Received: 0 cages of flesh

I did not ask for cages of flesh, there should have been tickets in there

It seems that the wanted code only pays attention to the top field, although the version in the stall displays the selected. I tested this by trying to buy an Aemeth strip from a clanmate, and received 0 flesh instead. Didn't much care about the strip, just thought it was worth mentioning.

Definately still a problem...a clan member just tested it on me (but gave me back my money). Also I didn't have anything selected in the "wanted" dropdown box like initially reported with this bug....I was only asking for tickets. So it's something to do with the buy/sale of tickets, and it doesn't matter what you've done with the dropdown menus above.

I just "sold" the following for 0 cages of flesh:

-Lvl 4 Adamantine golem (torso only)
-Lvl 1 Adamantine golem (torso only)
-5000 nuggets of Adamantine
-one Ouroboros

All of these were put on the market for tickets. The funny thing is that I sold another Ouroboros for 10 tickets almost immediately after the first one. I don't mind the small stuff, but the two golems are rather annoying. I also suspect that people are starting to abuse this.

When I come across an unusual and abusable bug, I PM Kep directly to avoid situations like that.

Well, there was already a thread in here and it seems to be a bit dicey business getting it to work. I thought maybe more people will offer their findings this way.

It may just be in an issue with the wanted tickets field.

It struck while I was trying to buy a previously arranged sales of an item last night, the seller reposted a compensating trade (since we were both on for this specific matter) and it hit again.

To overcome this as the buyer, I offered the tickets in exchange for a token exchange and it went through properly.

edits: of course that quick workaround only workes if the other buyer is on and responsive, and doesn't address the underlying problem.

testing has shown that it's not just an issue with the wanted tickets field. You can't successfully request items either, and I would assume that golems fail as well, although I haven't tested that yet, having a fullish basement.

Yup, private messages are definitely the preferred method for big or emergency bugs. Due to the low regular traffic on the forums, I don't scan them more than once a day, but I log in to the admin panels every few hours if I'm at home.

That said, I have this fixed already but am going through the logs to replace/reverse bad trades in the past day before I turn the market back on.

Everyone should be compensated for losing out on a bad trade at this point, and the market should be turned back on again. Basically I cleared a variable in the last update thinking it wasn't needed anymore and that turned out to be A Very Bad Thing (tm).

I won't be removing any "ill-gotten gains" since this was a very stupid mistake on my part that caused it (and honestly, it wasn't that widespread as it turns out).

Let me know if any problems persist or new ones are introduced!

Incidently, I also fixed that annoying thing where you could only accept trades of 90k but could put up 100k (the max should now be 90k for both).

Why can I not make an offer of X for items?

I can SELL Tiger Claws, Forerunner Blade, Heart-Shaped Dagger & Smoked Cheese - but I cannot list them as WANTED. Only items with types Animating Spirit, Eyes & Armor populate the array.

Also, when scanning the open market place, if I sort by Items-Foodstuff, Smoked Cheese does not come up. It will come up if I limit to Items-All.

Sorting by Items-Foodstuff should work now.

Wanting specific items would result in a very long dropdown... I can probably put something like that in, but it'd take awhile. Hopefully it won't make the market page slow.

Could you do a subcategory? Like, when you're in items - foodstuff, there could be a second drop-down containing food? And when you're in all, it just says, "select a category first" or something so it doesn't contain every item in the game?
