The hardy people of Ulvania value family bonds and friends over all else, so Darghelm has developed an extensive network of taverns, cozy inns, and messaging systems. After numerous bouts against the following creatures at various times of day:
the Mountain Giant of the Southmount (level 12)
the Runic Bonewalker of the Necropolis (level 14)
the Female Mountain Giant of the Southmount Foothills (level 10)
the Clockwork Elephant of Old Forge Mountain (level 9)

And comparing the difficulties in killing the above as well as the damage they do to attacking golems, I propose raising the level of the Clockwork Elephant to at least level 12. And probably the loot payout for it as well.

Alternatively, increasing the hit rates/damage of the Giants or Bonewalker to reflect their increased difficulty. Because as of right now, the Elephant is probably the toughest creature in the game. Not just a factor of HP, but it hits harder (and more often) than the Giants and Bonewalker.

Just my thoughts, has anyone encountered anything different?

Actually, after re-testing a bit, I think you're right. The elephant does need a level tweak.

Could use some more thoughts on it to be sure, though. I tend to use the same test golems over and over, so I could be mistaken.

Giant can be streaky though. Today I hit him in full day light with a fresh golem, and he decided to play with his mace and my repair bill was on the order of 7500 resources.

We did some tests as one of our clan was next to the elephant. We concluded based on the damage vs loot dropped it wasn't worth hunting. If the level tweak increases the loot drop then maybe, but for just getting 10xp there is far easier prey near by.

Clockwork Elephant has been tweaked.

It is now level 12, and has seen an uptweak in dropped treasure. Special thanks to the new critter admin for testing.
