Laidan walks into a large conference room, followed by his hulking bone golem Deadel. Both have an armload of miscellaneous items, which they begin laying out on a table marked "Evidence." These are items collected from assorted villagers and other folks, who are accusing GordonIronsmith of being a Diabolical Mastermind Golem, and the items include some unlikely objects, such as a small umbrella, a large rusty steel bear trap, and a beautiful silver mirror, in addition to many others. What these items have to do with the inquiry remains to be seen. Once all the items are set out, Laidan takes a seat at another table, Deadel moving in to place against the wall behind him. Both wait patiently for the accused and the rest of the council to arrive.

(OOC: Tag GordonIronsmith, Namebreaker, and anyone else who wants to participate in the inquiry)

Namebreaker walks in to the conference room heading directly to what she assumes is the far side of the room from where the majority of the action should be taking place.

She nods to Laiden and then sits patiently for whatever proceedings may occur.

Quiet Conversations between members of the council shatters, as the door Flies open, and the smoking remains of a huge skeletal monster hits the floor shattering in pieces of burn bone and rusted metal scraps.

"I DO NOT ENJOY SUPRISES!" Yells a Fuming Gordon Ironsmith as he enters the council camber, followed by his still smoldering Copper Golem. While Gordon appears unharmed on the other hand his Copper has many massive gashes covering it's body, and a massive flanged sword sticking out of its left shoulder. With a steady voice that echoes through the now silent room Gordon continues. "Last time I checked Bonewalkers do not wander the mountains of Ulvania, I was fortunate to have brought Purge along or else that weapon there might be through me instead."

Casting a silent gaze across the room Gordon, and his Golem Purge move to an empty table. "Sorry to keep you all waiting but as you can tell I ran into trouble."

Pulling out a small note pad, Namebreaker begins to write calmly, taking notes of what transpires.

Laidan's brow furrows and he turns back toward Deadel for a moment. The big golem moves to a closet, removes a broom and dustpan, and goes to work sweeping up the bonewalker mess. Needless to say, the image of a large bone golem decked out for war completing such a domestic task seems comical, and possibly below its station, but Laidan pays no attention and resumes his thoughtful pose. When the golem has finished tidying up, it places the dustbin on the evidence table and returns to its previous position.

Noting the addition of a new piece of potential evidence on the note pad in her lap, Namebreaker seems to notice for the first time that golems are present in the room. Snapping her fingers, a small horribly patch worked golem about 5 feet tall comes in carrying a blue and brown striated bow in it's left hand. A quiver attached to it's hip stands empty of any ammunition.

The amalgamation of iron, clay, and stone, with flesh as the upper torso trundles up next to Namebreaker, turns to face the rest of the room and then stands motionless, bow in hand. Noticeably on it's forehead bares the engravings, "P.3.4.C.H.3.5.". Directly below this, between the wide set eyes of the golem where the nose should be on it's iron brow are two more markings, "II".

Namebreaker resumes her note taking.

Tapping his foot, Gordon Ironsmith looks around once more before snapping his fingers. A small Iron golem seemingly melts from the shadows behind him. turning around Gordon quickly whispers towards his golem, handing it several pieces of parchment. The Iron with lightning speed leaves the room. Gordon clears his throat "Now as much as I need to send off paper work I am growing tired of the sound of scribes may we continue?"

A rumbling starts from afar and is slowly getting more intense. Xlrate appears for this proceeding with his honor guard of X Factor, a truly awe inspiring Giant of a golem all fashioned of gleaming Adamantine and one can even hear the sound of the Improved Steam Engine powering it.

"Who was going to start the show without me?" wonders Xlrate aloud. "I sure hope there is popcorn somewhere."

Without fanfare only the currently observant Namebreaker notices when Xeno The Morph calmly enters the room, followed by his rather small and patched Stone golem Leftie.

Within moments everyone else notices Xeno's presence when after a loud but dull *thud*, he starts cursing while waving Lefties right arm in the golems face.
"Oh, come on you $^£%! thing, I've fixed and replace this a dozen times! How on Muelsfell do you keep losing these!! &$£*£^!"

Noticing his audience he shrugs sheepishly and glares at his patched companion.
"I blame the Giants, I think they've given Leftie a trick shoulder."
While saying this he finds an unoccupied seat and slouches down into it, giving GordonIronsmith a slight nod.

A young looking male figure slips gracefully into the room and takes a seat at the ToMU table. Taking out a leaf of paper and a quill, he readies himself for the meeting. As he looks around the room, the more detail aware might note the gleaming glyph on his forehead. Those that were around for any of the major wars- or just in the wrong place- might not need the hint, recognizing him as Alpha, Chancellor Kaelas' personal homunculus.

He clears his throat, then in a soft voice, announces "My apologizes both for the late arrival and my Lord's absence but things are rather hectic at the moment. Seems the new combat laws are playing merry hells with the Armory inventory. He asked that I attend in his place."

Gordonironsmith returns his nod to Xeno. Looking down Gordon taps his watch and if on cue his Iron plated gem golem comes through the door with a new pile of papers. Walking up to its master the golem, which appears to be an iron golem with a plated chest, hand its master a sealed scroll.

Laidan watches the gem golem with interest. Once it has delivered its package, he considers for a moment, then announces in a loud voice: "Well, hopefully everyone who cares to attend has arrived, and I think we have enough at least to come to some sort of decision on the subject, so unless there are objections I suggest we begin." He then looks around to see if anyone has any objections.

A dripping, cloaked figure enters the room accompanied by a bone golem and pulls back her hood. "My apologies to the Council for my late arrival, I got caught in an unseasonal storm which delayed my travel a bit.", she says.

Thuriya then produces a courier pouch, and removes some official looking documents. "With Her Majesties warrant, and by request of our Commandant, I will be acting as the official representative of RANGER to these proceedings." She then sends her bone golem to present her credentials to Liaden.

"As it please your Excellencies, I will be acting as an observer to these proceedings since it involves one of the leading Magi of Kern." Thuriya then proceeds to the side of the hall with her golem and assumes a seat with her golem assuming a position beside her.

Most excellent, the idea of a magi from Ranger getting caught in a storm is just making this show even better. "Now where did that popcorn go?" Did anybody bring a copper golem so I can make some popcorn????

"Xlrate! Would you stop you stop trying to cook popcorn on my golem." Gordon smiles as his copper burns Xlrates popcorn to a crisp.

Picking at his teeth with a splinter of the Bonewalker Gordon continues "Now may we begin I think everyone else can slip in quietly, maybe we can post a memo out side the door..."

Alpha nods, then rises silently after jotting a quick notice on a spare scrap of parchement. He sticks the notice to the outside of the door, then closes it most of the way before returning to his seat.

Anyone arriving at this point would see the polite note in neat, if spartan, script:

Inquiry has commenced. Please enter quietly. Thank you.

Xeno sighs softly and pulls out a small bag from his jacket, after checking its contents and popping something into his mouth he gives it to Leftie. The golem weaves lopsidedly over to Xlrate and give the bag to him.
"A little something to tide you over, hopefully, unfortunately I didn't have any popcorn... I hope you like it."
In a louder voice he says "So how are we going to start this fa... inquiry?"

"Well, as you all know we are gathered to investigate the accusation that GordonIronsmith is some sort of Diabolical Mastermind Golem, and has been performing some sort of ritual in the swamps. I have done some information gathering in preparation for this inquiry, but I suggest that we begin with a statement from Ironsmith himself."

Glad that the inquiry has began, clears his throat "Well I've hear some of these rumors and to be perfectly honest we are dealing with common people who still view us magi as having or uses, but they are still very much weary of our magic and golems. First I do end up spending a great deal of time in the swamp. I try to clear the swamp of undead, and orges. This not only helps keep my work shop and clan safe, but also all those in the area.

Secondly, a Master mind Golem? that is silly, I'm as much a Golem, as a Rock is a tree."

Leaning forward a little, Alpha says "Well, I of all those here can attest that is is possible for you to be a golem. If my glyph was covered, or simply lacking, there are very few people that would be able to identify my nature." He shrugs a little. "Other than trying to remove a limb, the only test I know to be sure is having you cast magic in full view. Golems are magic; they don't use it." For now, anyway, he thinks to himself wistfully.

or we could just remove the limb..... I think the hacksaw isnt too far away. Of course, if he is a magi, he might be upset losing an arm....

Could you imagine what it would be like to try and make popcorn with only one arm???

Lets be honest though here, it isn't like there are that many well intelligent or even aware golems out there...

Laidan quickly glances at the evidence table. Yes, the small potted tree apparently made entirely of stone was still there. He hadn't understood why when the villager had given it to him, but this seemed an odd coincidence. "Well, perhaps magic is a good place to start then. Would you mind favoring us with a demonstration sir? Preferably something non-destructive considering the surroundings?"

Noticing Laidian motioning towards the stone tree, gordoniron muttters so unheard words and and band of green light encircle the small tree, which begins to grow new branches, before puffing into a cloud of dust.

"Woops that's wierd..."
