the dust settles to the table top and as the glow from the stone tree faids the door quietly opens and Malakor walks in, his staff tapping on the ground with each step of his right foot.
he shuts the door quietly and smiles at Laidan.
he proceeds to sit in a vacant seat, looking curiously at the assorted oddments on the table.
he proceeds to snap his fingers and a three foot gem golem stands by his side taking notes.
the golem in question seems to be quite inteligent and looks at the items with a surprising amount of interest.
it manages to convey this even though it is not able to change its expression.
"hmm"
he mutters quietly
"i wonder how this is going to turn out?"

Xeno stares at the clovers suspiciously, and without taking his eyes of them fiddles with something in his pocket.
With a grim smile he says "Just as I suspected there is more than one active enchantment on this... whatever it was, and I don't recognize the type of at least two of them."
After another moment in contemplation he turn to GordonIronsmith
"What exactly did you plan on doing my friend, and how? I don't have the tools for a proper analysis here, and to be quite honest I wasn't paying attention when you did that."
With a start he notices Malakor, and briefly nods in his direction.

| Alpha coughs slightly. "Perhaps a more... common place magic? If it pleases the Inquiry board, I would volunteer to allow Gordon to use a simple strength enhancement or elemental spell on me. Such would be easy to see the effect of and quickly." |

OOC: Just to be clear, Kaelas is playing Alpha, his (unusually intelligent) homuculus, because his Magus is caught up in another thread. The Chancellor is not present at this meeting.
Also, since he hasn't been here, feel free to note that Father Coyne preaches that golems are a gift from his particular god and thus giving them high levels of intelligence or (somehow, as it's not been documented as being done before) souls would thus be an abomination. Alpha does a few martial arts excerises to test his strength, then nods. To fully display his enhanced power, he easily lifts the conference table off the ground. "As I'm rather heavily armored, I should not have been able to left that with such ease. It would seem evident that Gordon has indeed cast a true Magus spell."
He sets the table down, and unless stopped, takes his seat again calmly. |

Although I dont know how a transmutation would effect a living magi.

Having sat through the meeting from the beginning, Namebreaker finishes a final citation in her notebook and then closes it.
Standing, she says, "I believe this inquiry should have stopped before it began. The article that I wrote for the THE MUELSFELL TATTLER was, from it's onset, a work of fiction derived from hearsay of the surrounding towns to the greater swamp of Zaulfung. I have worked closely with Mr. Ironsmith in the past, having drawn my original Workshop plans with his help. He is a good magi and should be beyond the simple reproach of his peers across these lands due to one individual writing of simple and, if I may say so myself, eloquent penmanship for a GOSSIP column. I personally came to this hearing out of sheer amusement to see how far this would go, but I've had enough. If any of you intend to continue this farce, you may do so without my testimony save this: Gordon Ironsmith is innocent."
She then turns towards the door to proceed out of the chamber. |

| It would seem that, unless someone has some more incriminating evidence, we have exhausted our avenues of investigation. Thank you all for your time, and I am glad we are able to gather in such a manner for something like this. It gives me hope that in a truly dangerous situation we may be able to cooperate in a useful manner. |

After several seconds of darkness and confusion the light returns, and Gordon and his golems have disappeared, along with Xlrate's Extra large bag popcorn kernels. She and her bone golem proceed towards the exit.

| Alpha blinks a few times. Well, that was rather... anti-climatic, one could say. Regardless, if this is settled, then he should be heading back to campus. "If there are no objects, I shall take my leave as well" he says in his oddly warm yet too perfect voice. Suiting deed to word, he stands before starting to pack up his things. |

Shaking his head slowly, and looking at his fellow Magi as they leave, Xeno gets up using Lefties right arm as as a walking stick.
"Well that went well didn't it Leftie? I didn't expect the situation would defuse so soon, a pity they didn't look a bit more closely it might have saved them some heartache later. I wonder if more go... golden alloy is needed for the experiments?"
