Kaelas glances over at Gordon before rather pointedly using the warblade to pry off more of the plating in order to help get Yamiko out. "Thank you for your help" he adds a beat or two late for proper courtesy. For obvious reasons, he's a little distracted.

Alpha glances down at his cleaned hand, then towards Nanashi's back. If only it was that easy. Noting further more that Blaze seems to be handled for the nonce, he looks back to see how the... person... is doing and catches a glimpse of a familiar profile- and more importantly, Kaelas' face. Alpha's vision blurs, then focuses sharply. "My sister... you almost... I... hurt...Yam-"

His diamond eyes flashing, his massive fists creaking with tension, the massive golem restarts his approach on Blaze. He probably remembers Nanashi is in the way. Almost definitely remembers.

Slowing his pace Gordon gently reaches out to stop Kaelas, "I'm not worried about your weapon hurting Yamiko, take a look at that iron. It was hastily constructed and improperly tempered." Gordon calmly states pointing out the tiny stress lines. "If you keep prying away at the metal the way you are one of those iron plates could shatter spraying iron shards on all three of us. Ironsmith isn't just my family name you know."
Taking a deep breath Gordon continues, "I know your extremely worried, but Yamiko is safe under Kyomi's spell she may not be invulnerable, but between The spell and the healing I gave she'll be alright, but I suggest you get a golem to get her out of here, and quick."

Blaze fights against the thorns more furiously, heating up more and more as she tries to burn them away, iron or no iron. She manages to remain at least kneeling, not flat on her back, as she scowls at Nanashi, voice eerily steady despite her efforts - mostly due to her lack of need for breath.

"I will not destroy all magi before they give me the secret. Those that are willing to accept us may live."

Kyomi chuckles, then laughs, her small frame shaking with mirth, before she snaps back into seriousness, and points at Blaze

"What secret? Exactly what secret are you looking for? When it comes to creating a golem of any size, level or intelligence, there are so many ways to go about it."

"Be specific, Golem, or are your fists and feet all you have a mind for?"

While Kyomi calls out to Blaze, and her Shadow does an almighty facepalm at her sudden lack of caution, a mid sized iron golem 'pops' into existence about two paces from Gordon. Like Kyomi's Shadow, he too has a wispy armor of light refusing stuff about him, as well as a long length of un-spiked chain.

"I think my Mistress is about to do something... chaotic. I have been asked to assist in the recovery or at least protection of the lady on ice."

Raiden had thought that he would be able to simply get one of his golems and head to the battle. Sure, there were several 'threads' that would allow for that sort of thing to happen and eliminate some of the factors that would lead to Blaze really messed everything up, but now there wasn't enough he could do there that would help. It would be too little and too late at this rate.

It was these facts that brought the young Magi to the halls of MAGIER. If he couldn't keep the battle from ending, he could make sure that if Blaze and the other golems DID get here, then they wouldn't simply steamroll right over the place. As he was in a place representing his clan, he was in his more official looking robes and his hair was mostly neat. There was probably nothing that would keep his hair straight on this plane anyway.

He proceeded into the main hall area and tried to find the reception desk. He didn't know how much time he had, so he needed to do this quickly.

Giving Gordon a considering look, Kaelas shrugs, then vanishes his weapon. Glancing around, he snaps his fingers and a nimble looking wood golem reveals itself from within the vines. "Dancing Leaf, I need you to get Yamiko to my manor without delay. May I trust you?"

The wood golem bows, then whispers "I did not know... yes. Yes, I will take her home." That part solved, Kaelas turns to deal with Blaze in time to hear Kyomi's question. Raising his voice for all to hear, he replies "The secret she seeks is magic. Without the ability to cast magic themselves, golems can't continue their race. Unless a Magus helps them."

He sighs. "I've been working with a few golems- Alpha, Five, Asgersdottir, Ceriph and so forth but none of them have had any luck. We've recently asked Nanashi for his help but haven't had much time for that to develop anything."

"Yes giving Magic to golems you shouldn't try it's an absolute impossibility," Gordon shouts his mood suddenly shifts. "I really must be going, I have some very urgent you might say dire things to deal with." Gordon's voice becomes shaky as though he was falling ill. "You really must get her out of here, and Kaelas," Gordon whispers. "Make sure nothing follows me." Gordon hands Kaelas a note from his pocket, before he begins running south slowly fading into the night, his golems finally joining him once again.

"Is that what you want? Magic? The ability to 'create' a golem?"She pauses, quirking a smile, "Only your answer matters here Blaze."

Kyomi laughs, a bright tinkling laugh.

"You have no idea what my 'whims' are." She looks just past Blaze, to a human sized flesh golem, dressed like a bartender, "Except one."

The golem bows to Blaze, and pulls a book out of a bag at his hip. "For you, Ma'am." He holds the book out to Blaze, the cover inlaid with a very pretty tree.

Kyomi speaks again, "That, Golem, are my notes, how to awaken and teach a golem how to use magic." Behind her, her Shadow starts to weave his hands through the air slowly, a pattern that any mage would recognize, a simple yet potent unraveling. "But, if you accept that book, and try to learn what is inside... No, it won't be me that binds you, but yourself."

Her Shadow snaps his arms forward, and the vines binding Blaze turn green, then retreat. "Because if you are not up to the task, you will be forever damned to try, and fail. Chained by your own desire for something you cannot have." She smiles, thought it is a sad one.

Kaelas, his face as stone, shakes his head. "'Tis not failure that will damn you. It's that you tried. To kill. My daughter. She had nothing to do with this." His gaze rakes the other golems. "I know none of you were aware of what she did, and I blame you not for her actions. Please..."

He pauses, suddenly looking tired, rubbing his blood stained fingers against each other. "Just... go home. Let this blood be enough to slake your rage for now. Coyble will pay for what he did, I give my oath. If the law will not bring jusctice, then other methods can be used. But only after."

"It was never that I refused to help you, Blaze. It was simply that I would not let you reverse the roles. I was willing to see you as an equal but I already have more than enough mistresses," Nanashi says with a sigh, sinking back to the ground. He presses his hands to the ground and chants once more, his voice sinking low. The vines all around him stop growing and instead rapidly wither and die.

Nanashi rises unsteadily to his feet and points at the book, saying, "Now will you believe that we weren't trying to keep secrets from you? It will be up to you to learn from that book as you are able."

Kyomi's smile turns deadly, just for an instant, "You might understand, if you ever master the contents of the book... Or you might not."

*the bartender hands over the book, and it expands in size so Blaze can turn the pages properly, when she gets around to opening it.*

"However, you aren't 'letting' me live. I will live because I wish to do so. Your 'destruction' of the current order depends on the single task of you mastering that book."

Again, that wicked smile, "For all you know, I might have just doomed you to an impossible task. Now, quit the field with your prize, and let us deal with this mess. My 'help' as you put it, only goes so far."

The other TOMU golems have at this point realized that this war is not what they had signed up for. Attacking an old enemy Clan for the murder of one of their own- sure.

Doing so at the command of someone that just tried to kill Yamiko, an officer of ToMU, daughter of the Chanellor, and still known by many of them as one who was vital in developing the Spark- very different.

Slowly, the coppers last, the irons first, they begin to depart.

Kaelas watches them, then turns to follow. "Kyomi, Nanashi. Thank you." His words sound earnst, if strained. He starts to say something else, then just shrugs.

Eyes still glittering with a morass of emotions, Alpha lingers, watching Blaze carefully. Some scratches from the fight with the iron aside, if he and Blaze fight, it's a pretty safe bet as to whom would win. Blaze is the highest order of Copper to match his order of Adamantine but that's not nearly enough to make up for the difference in type. Or the extensive modifications Alpha's body has been given.

Nanashi sighs and says, "Still you insist on the path of blades. Why do you refuse to see that there are other ways than domination to get what you want?"

Remaining standing, more and more by stength of will alone, Nanashi gestures to Kyomi and says, "Who, dear Blaze, do you think is one of my mistresses? I asked her because she has had better luck than I at training golems. Until now, she has not given me an answer."

Nanashi sinks slowly to his knees and sighs, "You still fail to understand that more can be accomplished through cooperation than enslavement. A sparked golem can do more on its own initiative than any plain golem commanded by a mage." His eyes close as he collapses to the ground unconscious.

The mid sized iron golem clanks over to Nanashi and with care, picks him up. With his toe, he scrapes a rough circle into the ground, and with the same 'pop' that got him here, vanishes.

Kyomi nods, satisfied, then turns to Blaze, the bartender, and the big book. "Are you listening to yourself? Or us? I've shown you proof that I have succeeded in teaching my golems how to use magic. Primitive, crude, but to get good at something, you must first be bad at it."

She sighs, then points at the book, still held up by the bartender, "Take it, learn from it, and if you manage to learn how to create the spark of magic within yourself, fine, come back with an army, come back with a legion."

"But, my warning stands, you may be unable to do it. Just like humans, not everyone can become a mage. Do you accept this offer, or, will you continue your advance? Take the book and maybe attain what you seek, or continue on a path that will lead to certain failure?"

The bartender, still holding the large book, speaks up in a slightly accented voice, "I suggest taking the book. It's quite heavy, and I'd be pleased if you accepted it."

Blaze, finally breaking free of the vines, moves to take the book. "I will not let my people perish. Whatever the cost." she says, flatly, looking Kyomi in the eye as she takes the book from the golem. "Just because you believe in some naive utopia doesn't mean I won't prepare for the hard facts."

Kyomi smiles, then grins, then laughs, a clear bright laugh.

"Oh you young soul... I am not aiming for utopia, or peace, or anything so... boring. I'm just curious to see if anything will come of you and that book."

A pause, her small body still quivering slightly from the laughter.

"An experiment, if you will. I give you the means to possibly become a wizard, however great or limited... And see what happens." She is suddenly holding a clear crystal goblet, filled with a dark red liquid, "If you succeed, it means I've succeeded. If you fail, maybe you'll get frustrated and destroy the knowledge I've given you, or perhaps hoard it away. Or, maybe find a like minded individual like yourself, and see if they have the ability where you do not."

"To our success, dear Blaze." She downs the goblet with quick efficiency, and waits.
