Or at least should be handled like the other advanced Golems and get a attack restriction over time. Right now the Gem Golems are used to repeatedly attack within a few minute intervals, and this is unbalancing them in relation to Iron and the other Metal Golems IMHO. |

They aren't really advanced-type golems. Their carrying capacity makes them very difficult to armour, gem 3s are not acquirable anymore, so if it dies it can't be replaced, and gems are an expensive material for repairs. Although you do make a somewhat valid point, heavy metal golems are useless on attack because they can't be used more than once, why not floor the number of attacks per eight hours at three or so, so that big golems are worth using now that the motivation costs won't be so abysmal. |

I love my gem golem, but it's way too powerful for it's ECL. With the amount of damage it can put out and it's incredible movement speed, it should have an ECL of 10 at level 1. Nobody attacks with anything except Gem golems anymore. I try to use some of my other golems to mix it up but with the incredibly low moti cost of the Gem, it completely defeats the purpose of attacking with anything else. |
