To support higher level creatures, a capacity-related treasure tweak went live today.

Previously, capacity could reduce the loot scored from a kill to potentially zero. Now you are guaranteed 50% of the random roll regardless of capacity. The remaining 50% can be reduced to nothing depending on capacity.

This was done because there are some powerful upcoming creatures that will require golems to be loaded down with weaponry and armour. It hardly seemed fair to make players go through that effort only to drag back a pittance afterwards!

This change ONLY affects loot from creatures. Looting a player's workshop continues to work as before (meaning you can still get little to none if your golem has no room for carrying treasure).

In addition, there were some minor bug fixes (empty ammo weapons firing once) and messaging adjustments.

I don't think I am seeing any difference based on this update, still getting negligible treasure while carrying a load.

Ditto...
Loaded my homunculus down with armour till he was at 100% load, and then took him vs a creature. He didn't bring back anything.

I finally shot down the last high end monsters, and the new treasure rule seemed to work for the wraith, but not the slime and the bonewalker:

You found 4 gold coins and 4 nuggets of adamantine.

You found 15 gold coins, 10 bars of gold, 8 bars of silver, 15 coils of copper and 15 bottles of glass.

Hrm, well, after laidan and Anri's comments, I made a further adjustment. This was a global treasure change, so it shouldn't have affected only certain creatures... I suspect the treasure drops by those creatures may not be high enough to begin with.

Fighting the giant with 110 lbs free I got
You found 290 gold coins, 102 pouches of gems and 179 nuggets of adamantine.
(this seemed like a low roll for gold, got about 400 the previous time)

With 18 lbs free (same golem, more armor) I got
You found 36 gold coins and 36 nuggets of adamantine.

Similar experience with the spined troll, scared to try the wraith without a pile of armor.

Yup, I found the problem and fixed it a couple hours ago. :)

[Edit] And the wraith's treasure type was apparently not live. It's live now. :P

Well with 10% load I grabbed 550 Coinage, 150 bars of sliver, and 463 Nuggets of adamantine. I'd say that's more in line :D with how much damage it can do. (The fight lasted 1 round but it inflicted 173 damage.)

Ranged weapons:P Wish I could get through that combat with 0 damage, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

Edit: And the troll is back to giving almost no loot while weighed down.

I just killed the new Dragon in the northeast corner, got nothing the first time, then 25 coins. That's with almost zero weight free, but I should still be getting half the loot, correct?

I mentioned this elsewhere but it didn't seem to get any attention...I've been fighting the mountain giant with a 0 capacity left over golem for a few days and haven't gotten any treasure. Either my understanding of the tweak is wrong or I'm not getting the 50% that's supposed to be independent of capacity.

I believe I already replied where you already mentioned it NomNomNom: You're not supposed to get any loot when you have 0 capacity left.

Psh, nobody was screaming. Though I was mildly irritated at posting the same question again elsewhere when people were responding to your thread.

Julie did 243 dmg while a dark kobold godslayer did 121 dmg.

You earned 10 xp.

Your golem will be back at your workshop in 1 min 7 sec.
Looted: You didn't find any treasure on the dark kobold godslayer.

Looks like the treasure tweak is broke on the dark kobold godslayer. Should this go in the bug report forum?

From what I understand having 0 capacity means 0 treasure. I believe this tweak was that having, say, 2lbs capacity doesn't also result in 0 treasure.

I'm having issues with Gwendolyn. She's only dropping about 350 of everything and I have 55 lbs freeT the golem is a transmuted Iron > Wood, so it has an Iron Golem's carrying capacity. My Clay Golem gets at least 3 times the treasure haul with more than 50% carrying used. Any ideas?
