Not sure if this has been addressed yet but I was just wondering if anyone else experiences link stubbornness in various situations. Links such as "Create!" in the Artificer and the "Fight" and "Destroy" links. I have to click multiple times and sometimes click "harder" for the request to register. For example today I initiated combat, but the link didn't recognize I clicked on it. So I clicked again and was then teleported to back to the workshop profile of the person I was attacking. The fight happened, but I never got to see what happened. It happens like this sometimes with fights of any sort, and other times nothing happens at all, especially in the Artificer. I experience nothing happening at all when I click "Fight" most often when I attack creatures, and I just have to click the link until I see an activity bar in my browser.
I've played the game on several different internet hosts and I do not experience any difference in "stubborn" links. I hope what I just typed makes sense.

I have noticed something like this while using a newer version of fire fox (3x), but not with the older version (2x)on a different computer

This is a server-side issue from what I know. The lack of a loading bar represents that your browser has sent the request but not gotten a proper response yet. When it does, the loading bar should reflect receiving data.

Hmm, what I was talking about sounds kinda different, mainly when I click on the "Fight" button, it highlights the button instead of actually clicking it. Of course it doesn't always do this, and sometimes it highlights and clicks. Pretty minor from my POV, but annoying, and I have no idea if it's what Phats was talking about.

When it happens to me I just hit Refresh rather than risking clicking again.. usualy the fight will then display properly or I know it is safe to try again.

Yeah, have done the phantom click more than once. Happens very very often. As long as the "loading" indicator hasn't gone off, it is safe to click again.

Usually, I just have to roll the mouse away and off the button before it'll come back and register as a clickable item.

Pegga nailed it. That's exactly what i see happening. I get a turning wheel next to my arrow when the request does go through, but usually i have to click it multiple times, pausing between each click. If not I just move the mouse away and back again like Pegga said.

Hm, can someone compile a list of all links that this happens with? I need to find out what they all have in common that could be doing this. Then compare to those links where it never happens.

Sure, I'll keep track whenever i notice it happening. Right now I can tell you that it happens most in the Artificer. I'll get back on the specifics.

I notice mine most on the "Fight Another <insert creature>". I'd say that it is mostly the "button" style links, not normal links. I don't remember having the problem anywhere else.

Here are the links I notice the stalling the most:

The Market

Look for Bargains in the Bazaar

Visit Your Stall to Sell

Artificer

Create

The World

Fight (monsters and Players)

Destroy

I never have a problem with text links, I notice it most on link boxes that flash whenever the arrow cursor is over them

Hrm, looking into it. Busy today, though, so might be Monday before I actually have a clue what's going wrong.

Any more that are problematic, add them to the list. Hopefully won't be a big issue to fix.

It's really more of a nuisance than it is a problem. Besides, no one in this thread seems to be all that bothered by it.

There was one I noticed today, but I forgot to make note of it, I'll get back to you on that one when I encounter it again.

I still notice it, having to click "harder" on the links mentioned above.

This one is becoming more irritating of late. Still the same links. I haven't PvP'd recently so I couldn't say if it is happening with any of the "FIGHT!" links, but it happens with the monsters. It also happens with "Show all creatures in this area" "Fight another ______" and most often, "FIGHT!" Each link requires some sort of strategy to get the message to send. Whether it be moving the mouse away from the link and trying again, or clicking "harder" or more rapidly.
