It'd be really nice if attack reports were delivered to your email account that you signed up with. That way, you could respond to the attack before the attacker can repeatedly repair and assault the workshop. Right now, there's almost no point in having a defending golem. The Clan golem is really your true defense because attacking them is a sign of inter-clan warfare. If you received reports via email, you could log in and repair your damaged defender or swap the defender with something different. It adds a level of gameplay to defense that does not currently exist. |

As I see it, adding support for an email report function probably won't actually do anything at all. Most of our PVPers are people who log onto Muelsfell all the time to check on their status. Those who are raided and not a big PVPer are hit once or twice then thats it. I might make some of those lower level players who are hit log on a bit more, but it will have no real effect for the higher levels of play. TL:DR It doesn't help higher levels, only newbies (which isn't that bad) |

TL:DR It doesn't help higher levels, only newbies (which isn't that bad) I'm going to take a moment to rebut this a bit... Player level has nothing to do with your responsiveness to attacks on your workshop other than how many attacks it takes to get through your defender. More expensive parts and items make defenders more expensive to lose, not the other way around. I'm logged into Muelsfell all day during the weekdays and I find that I'm usually attacked during night time (in my timezone, respectively). If I'm sitting in front of the TV and my phone beeps indicating an arriving email, I have time to check it and move to my computer to respond to the attack before my golem gets mangled. Maybe even time to dish out payback, putting the attacker on defense. TL:DR version: Player level has nothing to do with your need to respond to attacks. Also, you can't be logged into Muelsfell 24x7 so an email alert helps notify you when someone initiates combat. It's pretty stupid that you're sitting in your workshop while someone is pounding away at your door and you can't do anything to repair your defending golem between attacks.Last Edited: Aug 15, 2009, 7:13 pm |
