"Of course I do, Gordon wanted to me too wait before we told you this." Lucy Pauses for a moment. "but your misunderstanding. I'm am not a Golem, I was and I never will be." Walks over to a large stand of papers and begins searching though the papers. "Ah here we are." Lucy turns back to Kaelas. Flipping though the pages she hands the paper to Kaelas pointing to an small article. "Think this might make it a bit more clear."

The Artical reads...

Members of Last Alvia Dawning where shocked and appalled to find out that in the early morning of Second Hymnsday, Lucy L. Ironsmith was burtaly murdered in her home. Authorities had little to say other then to say that she was killed in a ritual manner. The victim's husband Mr. Ironsmith refrained from making a comment.

The article goes on to quote the comments of Neighbors and friends of the Ironsmith's. On the top of the paper reads "The Fiensday Post, Ceville 1609."

Kaelas reads the paper outloud, his tone as smooth and easy as it was during his mundane lectures. After he finishes, he looks over at Lucy. "So not a new soul but an old one given new flesh. Or metal, as the case may be." As was demonstrated during Blaze's Temper Tantrum, he had recently figured out how to transfer a Spark from one frame to another but that is a long, staggering step from what Gordon had done. What Gordon had done indeed...

He smiles gently, his eyes blank. "Why?"

Yamiko's anxiety initially abates, only to be replaced by a deeper dread. If this was possible, truly possible... if human magi could be given new life after death, if they could live forever... she'd heard stories that people in Kaelas' homeland could, in fact, live quite a long time after death, hardly impaired by the transition. What would happen, then, when she someday died? Would Kaelas ever be able to let her go?

Slowly, the process that had begun some time ago with the dissolution of her engagement wound towards its inevitable conclusion - she could trust no-one. Not Coyne, for all his seemingly gallant ideas. Not Viktor, not any sparked golem, not really. And now, not Kaelas. Her parents were dead; now, at last, she truly felt alone for the first time since their death.

Externally, of course, she buries the feelings as soon as they surface, to avoid alarming Kaelas. Trustworthy or not, she truly does care for him. She gives a worn smile, and jokes softly, "As long as you're not planning on taking over the world anytime soon, then."

Ignoring both of there questions Lucy begins to speak. "Gordon and I where young back then... Our Estate was just a piece of property with a tiny house. Both of us where and are still mages, but Gordon always had the greater potential. We had been happily married for three years. Those years where our happiest. Careless, foolish, but we where happy." Lucy was no longer smiling, the joy had left her beautiful face. "I can still remember the night. I was siting alone in our small kitchen reading some cook books." her smile returns for a fleeting moment. "Gordon was away to speak with some of his allied magi In Jaaron. I never heard him. Not once. I was completely shocked when the suddenly was a man in front of me. Even more shocked too see a dagger sticking in my chest. He kept it up for what seemed like hours before the memory fades to black." The smallest of sobs escape from Lucy.

"The next think I remember is Gordon. A spec of light in the darkness..." Lucy pauses, she almost seems lost in her memories. "When I came back all I knew was I was in Warm embrace of my husband. What I didn't know was that the year was 1667 and that I was slowing crushing Gordon." Letting out a small laugh Lucy continues. "I think I broke 3 ribs."

Lucy turns to Kaelas "What made Gordon do it? Why? He loves me too much for his own good. After I was killed Gordon snapped. The Hunter became the hunted. My killer became my husbands one goal. For 3 years he cased that man He's never told me what he did. Only that he found him trying to kill another woman. After he went into a deep depression for years. Until an apifiny struck him. He began to research, he became obsessed with his new findings and plans. It took him just under 50 years to figure out how to bring me back, and in order to do so he had to learn the arts of magic inside and out."

Kaelas' faces slowly loses that blank look as Lucy explains her story. As she describes Gordon's actions after her murder, his face is almost... proud? He certainly doesn't seem bothered or dissaproving of the idea of hunting down and punishing the killer. "And after?" he asks slowly, thinking his way carefully through his thoughts. "I can imagine adjusting to your new form was... is.. difficult."

Sensing his daughter's tension, though not guessing the source, he rests a hand on her shoulder to give what comfort she'd take from him. Hearing a story such as this would be hard for anyone- add to that the last few months and the lose of her parents as a girl and he can well imagine this being difficult to hear. That the story is coming from the form of a golem would only make it even harder on the sorely conflicted Yamiko.

"At First yes, but Gordon made this body to be better then any human. I think part of it came from his fear of losing me again." Lucy Signs. "For a time I wished to be flesh and bone, but I must say. This body has grown on me."

Clapping her hands together, Lucy's brilliant smile returns. "Well I hope we can move past that dreary, but necessary moment. I'll send Keven out to fetch Gordon." Keven the wood golem had snuck in with the Tea and water during the conversation and was now standing off to the side.

Lucy calls out "Keven dear. Go fetch Gordon from storage, and inform Alice to starting bringing out the meal." With barely a noise Keven bows to Lucy and marches oh the door. "Gordon shouldn't be more then 5 minutes. Let me just finish setting the table" Lucy says while taking some silver ware from a Carved wooden box.

Kaelas swallows back some more questions, not wishing to continue to press an uncomfortable topic. Moving towards her, he asks politely but earnestly "May I help you? I understand customs differ but I was raised to be helpful as a guest."

He glances back over at Yamiko, his face showing concern. She's been so withdrawn lately... He'd hoped that this outing would help bring her out of her shell a little but Lucy's story isn't exactly the light social interaction he'd been expecting. Still, dinner hasn't even started.

Lucy turns away from the table and says "That would be wonderful." She hands Kaelas a handful of knife and forks. A door bangs shut some where in the house and china can hear clinking several rooms over.

Yamiko takes charge of her own wheels, attempting to move out of Kaelas' way so he can help; she's not much help at the moment herself, but despite Kaelas' assessment of her, she CAN move herself. A little. For a brief period of time. If she makes sure to take deep breaths and frequent breaks. But she definitely doesn't need him. Nope.

After waiting a moment to see how Lucy prefers to set her table, Kaelas follows suit. As he does so, another question crosses his mind, one a bit less awkward. "Can you eat? My son, Alpha, is able to eat and taste but that took a while to perfect. He still can't force down beef... says it tastes very, very bitter."

"Oh I can taste, but let me tell you. it took quite some time to figure out an elegant manner in which too dispose of the food. You see I'd don't really eat a meal per say, I just have a taste most of the time." Lucy smiles too her self, "But I'm sure we can help you figure out any "Glitches" with Alphas sense of taste."

Finished setting her side of the table, Keven and Alice, a "female" wood golem, enter with several platters of food. "Keven after putting those down could you go see what's taking Gordon? Kaelas, Yamiko? You you like something a bit more potent to drink besides Tea and water? We have a fair selection."

Grinning a little, Kaelas replies "I'd be thankful for the help with that, indeed. And if you like, I can show you how we solved the removal issue with Alpha- I managed to route it into his power source to be... converted, I suppose. It doesn't seem to affect his abilities over much, regardless of how much he eats. Even the richest of foods isn't much compared to a golem's power source."

Fussing with his last plate, he continues "As for something to drink, I'm fine with tea, thank you. Don't much care for the tastes of most drink and the alcohol doesn't effect me so..." He gives a shrug, dismissing the issue. He glances over at the vanishing wood golem. "I notice that you've named your other golems with human names. Are any of them... special?"

"By Special, I think you mean Sparked," Lucy winks. "No we don't have any sparked golems, but Keven and Alice aren't your "regular" servant golems. Each have years of programming research in them. Gordon has work with some of modern masters and as built quit a knowledge base on such things. Right now we're working on the next for of golem programing, but lets wait for Gordon, and dinner to get into that."

Kaelas flashes a grin. "Yes, Sparked... or like yourself.. or like Kyomi's golem, Shadow I believe. I'm starting to think every Leader of a Clan has something like Sparked golems." He looks the table over, nods, then heads over to Yamiko. Lowering his voice, he asks her "You okay? You've been really quiet..." He's trying not to coddle her but it's hard to throttle back his protective instincts.

Yamiko waves her hand slightly in response to her Chancellor's question, her composure almost regal. "Merely a small bit tired." As Gordon enters, she looks up, with a polite smile. "Good evening, and thank you for inviting us to your home."

Kaelas gives Yamiko a rather disbelieving look but lets it go. Turning to face Gordon, he inclines his head in greeting before replying "Your wife is a delightful person, why on earth would we be scared of her?"

Glancing over at the food-laden golems, he continues "As my nose is telling me that this should be will be well worth the coach ride out, I'll give my compliments to the cook in advance."

Agreeing Gordon says, "Let's eat!"

The Golems begin to place the food filled trays. Amongst the dishes is a small turkey, Smashed Yams and Carrots, Potatoes, stuffing and assorted fruit grow on the estate.

Kaelas quickly goes about getting himself a plate. He also assists Yamiko in getting her own food, trying hard to tread the fine line of helping enough to not force her to overextend herself while not helping so much it pisses her off. Not the best of patients himself, he can sympathize with the frustration of being infirm.

Casting about for a lighter topic, he asks "So, Lucy, if it's not too forward, might I ask what it is you do? You have the advantage of us, as our professions are rather obvious." He offers a charming smile as begins to cut his food. When he wishes, he can be as socially cultured as even his sometimes posh daughter could wish. He just doesn't wish to all that often.

Yamiko doesn't take much in the way of food, but that's to be expected - pain medication often has the unfortunate side effect of making one feel rather queasy.

Fianly sitting down beside Gordon Lucy looks at Kaelas, "Well as you may have noticed by magical ability wasn't affected, so I too am a mage. Though I was never one for golem making, but specialize in plants."

Piping up Gordon say, "Oh you should see some of the things she concocted. Every thing from healing herbs, to anti-poines to afrodi-" Lucy gives a quick smack to Gordon's shoulder.

"Yes I've grown quite a collection of plants over the years." Lucy interupts gordon with a smirk on her face. "In fact I've cooked some of the healing herbs into the stuffing."

Kaelas nods agreeably. "Thank you for mentioning that" he says causally. He'd noticed the herbs but hadn't been sure if they were put there on purpose. And to be honest, he'd never seen some of them used in this fashion before.

"Perhaps latter tonight we could compare some recipes. I'm a Healer by nature but I'm still... adapting to the ways of this world." Taking a bite for turkey, he waits a moment before continuing. "I assume you've both heard some of the various rumors about me?"

"We've heard things about every major mage in Mulesfell." Gordon Replies, while dishing some food out of him self. "But we don't put much precedence into them."

"And I'll be more the willing to share any of my recipes," Lucy adds.

Kaelas smiles at Lucy quickly, then looks back at Gordon to continue. "I was referring mostly to the ones in regards to me being... a non-Native to Muelsfell in a much more significant manner than normal." He takes a moment to eat a little more, then adds "I'm a rather private person by nature but... it seems only far to give trust in return for trust."

He glances over at Yamiko to make sure she's still eating okay, then takes a sip of water. "To cut the chase short and tree the prey, I'm not from Muelsfell, nor this world entirely. I used Craft, the magic of my home, to... travel between what is and isn't. At this point, my path has taken me here." He grins, amused at himself a little. "One of the reasons I don't find aware golems to be unnatural is that I'm no more 'human' than they. No less, either."

Yamiko shoots Kaelas a strange glance. She wants to remind him to be careful - but then, she's seen what he can do. Kaelas has a willpower, a strength, a force of will that she'd never be able to match - and people kept giving him ideas. For the first time since the day she met him, a little seed of fear is forming in the pit of her stomach, churning there, feeding off her fears that had been brought more and more to the forefront lately - her fear of the sparked golems, enforced by her recent beating, as well as her old fears of rejection, scarred over like an old wound and re-opened recently. It's fear that saps her own willpower - she'd finally managed to get almost back to normal when once more something had been thrown at her, an acid test - to break her or make her stronger. Maybe she didn't want to be stronger. Maybe she was afraid of who she'd have to become to be strong in this new world.

In any event, she realizes, she's definitely afraid of Kaelas No-name, the dark and terrible being she'd tamed. It was like realizing that her pussycat was really a tiger all along. It wasn't his strange and otherworldly powers that engendered this realization, but only seeing the destruction that his mere force of will could cause, by accident.

Oh, yes, the dinner conversation. Guiltily, she glances around furtively as though to see if anyone noticed her becoming lost in thoughts. She was tired, after all. She could play it up to being sick.
