Yamiko narrows her eyes. "So they should be afforded all the rights of one who, say, prefers to feast upon blood instead of wine?"

Kaelas gives her a flat look. That's ceremonial, thank you, and never life's blood. Turning back to the wraith, he thinks a moment.

Then asks simply "What do you serve? What do you want?" He stares the creature in the eye, but keeps part of his attention on Gordon, listening for his answer to Yamiko's question.

"Yamiko I'm not talking about a small drive in darker arts, These abominations will drain you of your life, your soul, before leaving nothing but a broken husk, because it tastes 'sweeter' then drawing energy from other sources." Gordon replies.

Pausing for a moment Gordon turns to Kaelas "It can't hear you yet, and you may want to take a step back it is made of strange magic which makes it difficult to keep it fully contain. I'll say it again this will be quite painful."

Yamiko narrows her eyes, contemplating the situation. "This strikes me as... I don't believe I have words to express what a horrible idea this is, other than, perhaps you are acquainted with a magus of our clan named Sconibulus? I suspect he would recognize the horribleness of this idea."

Kaelas grins at Yamiko, enjoying the spark of his daughter of old. "Pain isn't of much concern, provided there's no long-term affects." And I'd like to hear their side of the story, he thinks to himself. "How do we proceed?" he asks, stepping back towards Gordon.

"I just reduce the shielding slightly and the sound will be transmitted as normal, and don't worry Yamiko I've been aware of Sconibulus' methods for quite some time, and I assure you my methods are tad more... how shall I put this," Gordon pauses for a moment "Sain."

"Alright well we might as well start now." Gordon moves back from the shield and waves his hand the shield flicker slightly but other wise looks the same. "We aren't you quit-" Gordon tries to say before the wraith releases an unearthly scream into the room.

Sensing a decrease in energy within the containment field that confines them, the wraiths summon as much hate and contempt as they can. "RELEASE US!"

Without a hint of hesitation, Kaelas pivots on one foot and locks down a shield over Yamiko to dull the piercing shriek of the beasts. That done, he turns back to the wraiths, his discomfort visible only in the tension of his shoulders and the hard set to his mouth. Taking a deep breath, he comments to Gordon, "I see what you mean."

Another deep breath to gather his thoughts, then "Kre-rresh..." he stumbles a little over the unfamiliar name but manages it well enough "...what is your purpose in this world?"

Within the sound-shield, Yami strains to hear what's going on outside. She rolls her eyes as she hears what Kaelas asks. 'What is your purpose in this world? Can YOU even answer that question, Kae? Can anyone? Sheesh. How about hi, how's it going, or even assure it you won't hurt it... SOMETHING sane.' Still, she faintly smiles to herself. That was SO like him.

The wraith's eyes flare crimson as it lunges at Kaelas, only to be stopped by the containment field. "TO...GET...HOME", it replies.

"Humm that's a new one." Gordon yells to Kaelas. "I suppose it's getting a bit desperate. Remember these things can't lie, try asking it why it came here."

Kaelas grins a little. "Maybe it likes me?" Or maybe it senses this is not my world either, and hopes I'll understand it better than those native to Muelsfell. He glances back at Yamiko to check on her, winces at the alien shrieking, then turns back to the wraith.

Nodding at Gordon, he asks "And where is home? How do you return there?" If they can send them back- and keep them there- their threat is removed and the somewhat moral gray area of imprisoning them (or killing them) is void as well. Simple, elegant and practical, his favorite type of solution.

The wraiths look at one another and seem to communicate through some unknown means. After a few minutes, "Red Eyes" turns its attention back towards the gathered mages. Like fingernails across a chalkboard, it begins to speak. "Our domain is not of this domain. We do not recognize the patterns of your sky. Our domain must lie very far away; perhaps in time as well." Its voice drops an octave and the glow of its eyes seems to dull. "We cannot return. We cannot bring forth the light. Only the High Entities of the mountain can bring forth the light".

Gordon turns too Kaelas and whispers, "He's very talkative today, lets milk it for all it's worth." Gordon Turns his attention back to Krerresh. "Tell me, what are these High entities?"

Kaelas nods at Gordon, trying to think of questions that might be able to get some usable answers from creatures so alien. Unless it's next answer, about the High Entities, explains everything... 'What is the light and how do the High Entities bring it forth' sounds like a good follow-up question.

(OOC, you can assume Kaelas asks this after the Wraiths answer Gordan's question so you can do both in one post.)

(OOC: It seems Joachim is having a minor problem getting into the atmosphere, so I'll be taking over for the wraiths as of now. Big thumbs up too Joachim for his input :D.)

The wraith looks up at Gordon, "They are our guides, but we cannot be guided here." The wraith strains at it's bonds before letting out another scream, "Free us!"

Gordon iron shakes his head, and Kaelas asks his question. To which the wraith replies, "The light, our light," the wraith pauses and seems to calm down. "Our light is it's light, it gives us life, purpose, protection. Our light is it's light, it gives us life, purpose, pro-,"

Gordon interrupts the wraith, "But how do they bring the light?"

"WE MUST FEED!" The wraith screams out with almost tangible hate, clawing free from it's bonds and attacking the shield with all it's might, and bringing agony to everyone in the room.

Cursing loudly, although unheard amidst the screams of the wailing creatures, Kaelas shifts into a fighting stance. A circle of cold air swirls around him and frost forms on the stone at his feet as he glares at the wraiths. "Be Still" he commands them as he wraps Gordan's shields with his own.

He has no true wish to harm captives but he will not allow them to harm Yamiko. Or Gordan either. And himself, he'd prefer not being harmed himself too. If the wraiths do not subside, he will take more... permanent measures.

Barely audible, Gordon yells, "Tat it you..." Nothing else can he heard as Gordon thrust out his hand throwing the wraith back into it cage, before it slumps to the ground. "Somebody will be sore in the morning." Gordon says aloud in the now quite room. "I hope you got the answers you needed, because I don't feel like waking it up."

The door leading into the room opens again, and with it is Lucy. "Come back into the main hall so we can get some tea into you three."

Yamiko stares at the scene before her, then bows her head, moving to wheel her own chair backwards, nevermind Kaelas or the golem. This... was a lot to take in. Tea sounded wonderful.

Shaking his head to dislodge the last of the noise, so to speak, Kaelas turns to follow. He starts for Yamiko, then smoothly diverts himself, realizing she likely wants to do something for herself right now. "...tea sounds very nice, yes" he finally thinks to say.

Lucy walks over to a large ornate table that wasn't there before. "I've added some herbs to the mix for the headaches you all will start feeling." Lucy states as she pours tea into three cups. "I also found both of your some books from our library, while you where in with the wraiths." Lucy points to two books also on the table. "This one has a large collection of advanced Golem construction Gordon and myself have put together." Lucy hands the book to Kaelas, "And this is all the information we have on the "other" realm, and it's exotic energies." Handing the book called "Nether" too Yamiko.

"Well I hope the evening proved at the very least, interesting..." Gordon lets out a light chuckle. "I'm sure you have more questions, but please read the texts Lucy found for you. I'm sure we'll be seeing one another, sooner rather then later."

Exchanging looks with his adopted daughter, Kaelas nods as his book disappears. "Interesting works, yes. Well, the dinner itself, and the company during that part of the evening, was very pleasant. The after dinner activity was... informative" he finally settles on. He holds out a hand for the 'Nether' book, offering to vanish that one as well.

Yamiko hands it to him. She'll probably have to read both herself anyway. She was better suited to the clerical/research work - and this was going to be a big task.

A... wait. What did this have to do with her, with the clan? Maybe the best policy was to remain... detached, neutral. She didn't have to leap into solving everything that presented itself.

Gordon stands up. "Well thank you for taking the time. I suggest you leave sooner then later. The marsh roads get pretty treacherous at night, and it'll begin raining soon."

Gordon Walks with Kaelas to a side room filled with the same Gylphs as the platform used to enter the sanctuary. While Lucy moves behind Yamiko A bingin pushing her towards Gordon and Kaelas. Lucy bends over and whispers into Yamiko's ear "I like too give you something I've found very helpful, sometimes even comforting." Lucy hands Yamiko a smaller book, couldn't be more then 150 pages. On the cover reads, "The Masters Guide to magic defence."

"And before you say anything just read it." Lucy smiles, "It's much more useful then it appears."
