So, interesting question. My iron golem gives me the option to raise its strength by 30 for the low low price of only 2200 or so XP. I know from being attacked that negative experience from attacking someone only takes you down to 0 current xp, it won't lessen your levels, or make it take more than the base to increase to the next level. Anyone have any experience trying this? If I had slightly less xp now I would be pretty tempted, but even if it is possible it sounds like a huge bug. Ark, have/can you test this?

Hmmmm, I never actually thought of that before you mentioned it because I assumed that it just wouldn't let you increase your strength that much. I lhad levelled up recently and didn't have much experience so I simply HAD to test it. Turns out it doesn't let you purchase the strength.
Oh well.

Is there a table how much the increase in capacity you gain by increasing the strength?

Garfield: 2 points carrying capacity per 1 point of strength and +1 damage every 10 points of strength.

Thanks so it's not really worth the exp investment.

Or are there people with a different opinion?

I use a level one flesh golem with all iron parts except the chest. The wieght of the power source, eyes, and chest armor that let is easily kill the bog mummy in several rounds is enough that I was getting almost no loot. However when I increased its stength by 10 not only was it killing the mummy faster(aka less damage to itself) it also was able to start carrying serveral hundred units of loot off the mummy again.

EX: before the strength change I maybe got 1-20 or so money and 5-10 of a secondary(like glass), after the 10 strength boost I get 50-120 or so money and 40 to 70 of assorted secondaries.

I'm doing the same, planning to replace the iron limbs as I develop higher level of iron. After I put the new power source and the new eyes I had prepared, the golem brought back little money, but after a few strength increases, the incomes were better. Since it's the only golem I'm going to use to get ressources and xp, raising strength doesn't seem a waste at all, so I'm focusing on it right now.
Note that more strength also means you can put heavier armors ( not considering the number of slots required).
