Darghelm, in the Foothills of Ulvania
The hardy people of Ulvania value family bonds and friends over all else, so Darghelm has developed an extensive network of taverns, cozy inns, and messaging systems. I'd like to be able to change the physical terrain conditions around my home base.

Example

At my home the conditions are

Grasslands Forests/0%
Woods Marsh/0%
Wetland Mountainous/0%
Rocky Dry Desert/50%
Town-City/50%

I'd like to be able to spend <insert xp or motivation or resources>
(Premium tickets for a faster job)

and be able to change some of the physical properties of the area to make this..

Grasslands /20%
Forests-Woods /0%
Marsh-Wetland /30%
Mountainous-Rocky /0%
Dry Desert /0%
Town-City/50%

Another thought was this

In order to change the land to a marsh (up the marsh percentage the spell rainfall has to be cast (x) many times plus an additional xp/resource (premium for faster results)

Steam engins get an automatic energy boost from marsh areas, rainfall spells, snow and ice due to being in an unlimited fuel anvironment

Moar random thoughts to follow at a later date.

It should be noted that any and all conditions are at multiples of 25% (0, 25, 50, 75) although I am not sure anything is as high as 75 let alone 100.

And I doubt this would be implemented except maybe as a spell of some sort. Making it permanent would complicate the coding to no end, as each person tries to get the exact terrain they want.

If you don't like the conditions of your home town, the alternative is to move with a relocation permit to a more favorable location. Assuming you can find it...

On the same general track here, I'm thinking of spells similar to rainfall that temporarily alter the landscape surrounding the workshop.

Hmm should be some kind of cost to pay to compensate local villagers/ farmers for having to buy rice when you turn their land into a paddy fields.
