Okay...

I am a bit of an arms/armor nut, and I look at the costs/values for some of the things you can build, and while it is good, I find it lacking.

Nothing but metal based armor?
Problem: Stone age and on, people have been making armor from things other than metal.

Possible ideas

Leather: So many ways to treat the stuff. Make it harder, softer, treat it against fire, or cold. Sonic would just ignore it.

Bone armor: Not so good against crushing, great against slashing, almost innefective against peircing. Higher levels would be good against sonic, as bone doesnt vibrate very well. Also, very light.

Wood: Decent against crushing and peircing, but not so much against slashing. Not very conductive, so cold resist? And very burnable (But I do not know if Arkham plans on putting in negative resists?) Not as light as bone, but still not as heavy as iron.

Clay: Fireproofing at its best. Ceramics are an amazing thing. Would be very heavy however.

Stone: Maybe not...

That covers the 'missing bits' (kinda sorta) On to current (for me, anyhow) ...faults?

Chainmail is not good against peircing weapons. It just... fails to hold together and lets things through. Against crushing, almost the same. (a human,) would just get bits of chainmail under the skin, AND broken bones. Slashing? Would die of brusing before bleeding against a slashing weapon. (And last I looked, golems didn't bruse.)

Iron bands: Gaps in armor? Switch peirce and slash and it would make more sence.

With Plate, peircing is about the only thing able to get past, and then, only at the joints.

Other missing things? We have copper bands, what about bronze and brass?

Other ideas on cost: Sheeeeeesh pricy. Why not reduce money cost, and add in things like... Need (flesh) leather for underpadding. Clay or stone for casting the peices?

(Or going to my post on a new library tree) Gadgets that reduce costs? (Forge, molds, a little golem on a treadwheel to power a drill?)

Awesome. I'd love to see some of these ideas implemented, it would be nice to have a wide range of protection options.
