I may just be running into a string of bad luck, but I haven't seen Smoked Cheese dropping from the Spined Troll anymore.
I used to get at least 2-3 per day, sometimes fewer, but always at least 1 every 1-2 days.
However, I have gone more than a week without seeing any cheese at all. :(
Any thoughts?

I got 1 on Sunday...

| I don't think so I've been farmnig it a lot (mostly for the 10 exp) and over the last about 2 weeks i've gotten 2 cheese. The drop rate looks to have been nerfed. |

I got 5 today, so...
May be some secret mechanics with Encumbrance. A Clay1 will do just fine covered in only reinforced chain - with all my other toys, I am only at 41%. |

I'm using a Clay1 with Reinforced Chain on the chest only, and a Flamewood Longbow with Etched Focus Crystal. 28% load. Still no cheese. :(
Does the weapon used to attack modify the loot dropped? |

just realized that in a shuffle I had forgotten to even arm my strength enhanced Clay1. Just burning aura. Weapon is clearly unnecessary as I typically go 10-15 rounds between repairs.
Got 5 more cheese today. |

| Good point on that - I have purchased over 100 points of motivation with XP - so a daily hike to the Troll lair is more than 50 combats. Coming away with 5 cheeze suggests approx a 10% drop rate (or a very good day on something much less) |

| Checked it out this morning. I whacked the troll a dozen times and left with 2 cheeses. I'll post on my clan's forum and see if I can get other members to go cheese hunting and see what they come up with. |

| All these numbers suggest to me a 20% chance, like was stated earlier. Of course, chaos being how it is, some days 40 can go by with no cheese, but it'll even out down the road. |

Tzad's idea of a 10% chance seems much more likely, looking at the limited datapoints on the thread, although, if you guys really want to continue this we could move it over to the discussion page for smoked cheese on the wiki, make a table of everyone's hunting (who chooses to participate) every day, and the number of cheeses dropped. Then we can, much like we did with golem limb targetting percentages, work out a rate within a fairly small margin of error. |

| For me it works out to be 3-6% Not any where near 20% I think I bagged six cheeses one day, but I haven't been getting lots so It cannot be higher the 10% |

| From calculating drops on the dragons, on the wiki we've classified some drops as "rare" which hover around 10% and some as "ultrarare" which are 5% or below. This data seems to indicate Cheese was moved form Rare to UltraRare? We don't have specific drops or drop rates for most of the creatures, so those of you running tests, please help! |

I "CAN" tell you that drops max range is between 25% and 0.01% right now.
I can also say we're tending to add more things to more critters. (With some interesting things in the works.)
I can't say what to what though.

I'm pretty sure there's diffrent grouping of drops.
As an example
Standard(Always): 235-500 Gold, 230-325 Gems, 150-300 Addy.
Random(sometimes): 250-340 Gold/silver, 25% chance. Item, 5% chance. |
