Ok, I am sure most people won't like this idea but I am going to put it out there anyways. Also maybe this belongs in suggestions.

There should probably be some kind of control set over the clan creation process in at least one of a number of ways. My suggestions are:

1. Limit the number of clans based on the number of Active people playing the game.

2. Set a needed goal for a clan to reach to remain open be it score, active members or something else.

3. Auto remove clans with 0 active members.

I think this is necessary for the advancement of the game. As it stands there are:

5 clans with 0 active members,
5 clans with 1 active member,
5 clans with 2 active members,
3 clans with 3 active members,
2 clans with 4 active members.

Maybe even instead of destroying the smaller clans give some kind of merger option so all of the invested materials aren't completely lost. I don't know. But most of these micro-clans are just taking up space.

------------------------------

Ok, I am done for now, flame away.

I'd thought clans with 0 active members ARE systematically purged after a waiting period (to ensure someone isn't about to come back from vacation)?

Also do note that some people are just using clans as a way for them to play together with a few friends; a clan of 3 or 4 members is probably just that.

I went up to 4 member clans for show but I do know that 3-4 member clans can be just a friends thing. I know TRIAD is a good example of that.

Though that thought brings up a different question. How does one form a family? There is a place on the raking page for it but all the spots are empty.

You can't- yet. It's on Kep's 'To-do List' but besides the ranking thing and some forum posts, nothing has come of it as of now. Shame- be rather nice to have, if only for the RP standpoint.

Yes it could prove to be interesting, I wonder what he'll do with it when he gets to it.
