An ill timed attack by an enemy got my golem destroyed. Just shortly before it walked against the marsh dragon, it was attacked outside my workshop, so the dragon gave it the final death blow.

Sad enough as it is. But no drops could be found, all items the golem got are gone? Is this intended? That all items are broken once a golem gets killed?

Working as designed. Golems being destroyed and discarding from the storage bin are the only two ways at current to utterly destroy items - and golems being destroyed is the only way to destroy clan items (they are not returned).
