Ace sighs, leaning against a tree just outside the SFC meeting hall. "Gods, that meeting is boring. Seriously, why the heck are we all here? I mean, I'm just a freshie--"

"Only because you failed three classes," interjects Jellikal

"-- still, only a freshie," Ace repeats, "and Jelli's not exactly the brightest bulb in the political bunch--"

"Hey!"

"Neat handwriting doesn't equal political competence, mon amie belle," replies Ace, giving a slight bow out of politeness and deference to the masculine garb Ace wears tonight. "Raiden here is a Chaos mage - not exactly one to impose order forcibly on the natural landscape - and Sconibulus seemed to be dying of boredom in there. Frankly, I think our host is insane - and that this night should be far, far better spent. Any ideas?"

Sconibulus pulls himself up the tree until he's sitting on a low-hanging branch, while Cheestery starts scampering higher and higher, heading towards a squirrel nest he spies in the upper boughs. "Well, since you two are students, and I've got a minor here," he gestures up at his companion, "I suppose drunken debauchery is out of the question."

He thinks for a moment, "What say we take advantage of all eyes being on the meeting and the wraiths?"

"Not to mention," contributes Jellikal, "The fact that the Chancellor is still away from the office, so if we get caught... who's to punish us?"

Ace grins, deviously. "I like it. But what shall we do? What's worthy of our attentions first, with all of Muelsfell laid out before us, ripe for the picking?"

Standing outside the SFC meeting hall where several golems. All of them guarding the hall. There where several iron, a few clay and one Brass. Now nothing seemed special about any of these golems, especially compared to the stone golem Petros Craig that had just been paying attention to the meeting from outside. But the brass golem was paying attention to those outside the hall.

He stood about 9 feet tall with a brass torso and finely sculpted clay for everything else. The detail on the clay was exquisite, especially for his bull shaped head. And he was listening. He had not and would not move, let alone break rank unless needed but his eyes and eyes alone where focused on the group that aimed to make mischief.

Raiden yawned a little. The meeting was, as he had expected, been boring. Not much speculation on the wraiths and it wasn't close enough for him to get any kind of feeling on them...besides, the chances of them reaching a conclusion in their allotted time frame were slim and he was already distracted before attending...ooh, they had someone watching them? He turned to give the golem a look before returning. Probably wasn't going to get much in the ways of what they were saying, but things should be phrased.

"whatever it is, It would have to not be something too...strenuous. I still have a few experiments I need to check on before the evening is through. Also, I actually wish to finish my thesis before being expelled for shenanigans."

"Ooooh, experiments? I was going to suggest something along those lines... just with things belonging to other people. I'm more than a little curious about those odd goggles I've been seeing around."

Above them, Cheestery pokes his head into the squirrel's nest, and is dismayed to find it empty. He drops down from the boughs onto Sconi's shoulder, softening the impact with a small dimming arc of his wings.

Well...that wasn't very much...oh! He could actually get a chance to see how other clans go about research. That was a very much an interesting endevor....and it doesn't seem like they'll start a war by doing so. "Alright, though I think one of the clan golems has been watching us for some time."

"Does that matter? We're highly suspicious individuals, I'd bet between Ace and myself we've had more than three dozen charges brought, and no, I haven't bothered counting so we'll probably never know." He claps his hands and rubs them together, "Now, to the heart of Tench-Kisuragi, corporate espionage is always fun, even more so in field trip form... Can I give people credit for this? I don't think I've got a handle on this professor thing..."

Ace grins. "Hey, I'd love some extra credit, proff." Jellikal pulls a face. "So not fair," she mutters. "You should teach higher courses, for the people who AREN'T academic failures."

"I believe it is possible for someone to actually fail academically and still garner results that would allow one to teach...I think that's how most of the teachers in my department have jobs...that or they know enough to keep their chances of being fired or relocated low...which would be staggering because you'd have to keep adjusting it every day for years...it's actually quite...oh, right, we were planning to go somewhere were we not?"

Sconi shrugs at Jellikal, causing Cheestery to grab on to his head as the perch moves. "Freshman teachers get freshman classes, it's not like I know anyone in the Chancellor's office who could, say, give me the most interesting sounding golemancy class she's taking next year."
He turns back towards the rest of the group.
"Right, off we go, lots of clandestine operations to perform."

As Semaj makes his way off with the group heading to meet the wraiths he looks back at the clan hall from his perch on Petros Craig's shoulder.

"Petros, you have any idea where your brother went?" Semaj asked. "He isn't in front of the clan hall anymore."

"No, he doesn't talk much." Petros replied.

"Each of my children, trouble in there own way." Semaj chuckled as he made his way away from the hall.

The brass golem had given into his curiosity. Trouble wasn't really his thing but he loved to gather information of any kind more than anything else. More so he was good at it. His specialty. Without being seen he had moved from in front of the hall to behind another near by building. His clay legs aloud him to move without leaving tracks and using he natural abilities as a brass golem he absorbed all the sounds he would make.

He has no intentions of stopping them, after all they had not been taking about hurting anyone, just some info gathering. He would follow, silent and unseen just to learn what the group of misfits would learn.

((OCC: Fun, fun! I hadn't planed to develop the personalities of any of my other golems so soon! Just seemed like a great chance. I think I am going to name him Soundwave...))

((OOC: If you really are intent on this mad cap idea, I will happily handle descriptions, floor plans, and encounters within our head quaters. I will run a poll on our own forum to find out if members are at headquaters and what building & room they are in, so for fairness their location will be fixed before you enter. You probably wont be challenged by apprentices and lesser NPCs, except guard golems))

Edit: should have said I'll start when you reach Mount Kestrel or Asylum depending on where you want to start.

((OCC: Yes, yes I am intent. Yes it probably is mad but each of my golems has there strengths and flaws, and quirks. And if you don't stick to the guidelines you set up for yourself whats the point? I am just glad to see you are willing to go with it. Great googly moogly, I haven't had a chance to RP since my days back when Gaia started up.

So lay out the plans! I am more than game! And let what happens happen.))

For the sake of getting things moving, Ace turns to the older two in the group. "Teach, Raiden, one of you want to lead the way?"

"Sure, why not," he jumps down off his perch, "let's go." Cheestery jumps down off of his recursive perch, and leads the way for about thirty feet before finding a pine cone and picking it up, then crawling back up Sconi to play with it.

Soundwave would follow, using all obstacles he could for cover and staying plenty far back to remain unseen for the time. If necessary he could even afford to lose sight of the group as long as they where still making some kind of noise and/or leaving tracks.

Raiden pondered as they started on their way. Sure, there were plenty of things that would and could happen from this course of action, one of which ended with several buildings on fire and a permanent ban from all future conferences, but honestly, he only peeked at the really obscure ones. Surly, he could keep his curiosity in check long enough for them to proceed with looking around and not cause problems. Oh, wait, there was the fact they were being followed by a not-very-well-hidden golem and that wasn't going to do very well...so maybe he needed to find some sort of distraction. He looked up at the sigh and gave a large sigh. ~Hmm...maybe I should let him continue to follow until I come across a chance that he...she...that our 'shadow' would keep us from continuing...that's most likely the optimum way to study how all of this would go....but first~ "Sconibulus, where do you think we should start with our investigation of the premises?"

"I wandered past once, and it looked very difficult to get in, but I have an idea... we'll need to stop by a sailmaker's though." Sconi says, pondering ponderously. "Probably a tailor's as well." Cheestery takes the opportunity of the long to jump over onto Jellikal and start exploring.

As the nefarious group walks around the outskirts of the SFC complex one can see a very alarmed messenger come out of a back entrance of the SFC library. Surprisingly the door is only guarded by a single forest golem, that Seems more interested in the grass then guarding.
