Kyomi sighs, looking at the collection of wraiths down below, and the collection of people, trying to come up with a plan.

"How much hill do you want to bring down on them?" She asks, holding out her massive tome with one tiny hand, and letting it fall open, "Or rather, do you want a hill left, when I'm done?"

With a little -pop- a spider the size of a cat crawls its way up from the surface of the book's page, and stands at attention in front of her.

"And masterslug? Golat back at base can be brought here with little difficulty... We have our little army of left over iron golems at the ready."

"Humm I have an Idea, so bear with me." Gordon turn over to Kyomi. "Kyomi are you capable collapsing the entire hill around us? if so I don't thing we'll need to worry about flanks at all." Gordon Points all around the group a line following his fingers path.

"I can cast an empower slowfall on this piece off ground as well as ourselves. This way we get to watch as the land slide takes out the wraiths."

Kyomi smiles slightly, then turns to Her Shadow, who nods, and starts to draw a circle around the group, not including anyone who might be observing or otherwise hidden. When the circle is finished, Kyomi looks to the spider, and gives its fuzzy many eyed head a pat.

"You heard him." She says simply.

The spider reaches into the page he had pulled himself out of, and takes out a small trumpet. And with a (for its size) mighty blast on the instrument, more spiders pull themselves out of Kyomi's book. Like a tide of black fuzzy legs, they pour forth, and start to make tiny holes just out side of the drawn circle.

"Give them a little time..." Kyomi says, spiders still pouring out of the book, "They aren't much for digging. And please don't step on them if you can help it."

"Looks like this isn't going to be any fun at all." Semaj comments to Petros.

"Calm down Father, this is just to take care of the minions. What fun would you have had with them anyways? The real fight still lays ahead." Petros responds back as he sits on the ground with a thud, just missing on of the spiders. The spider freezes for a moment before going back to work. "Oops, sorry little one."

"I guess your right Petros." Semaj sits on the ground next to him. "I just wanted to try some of these new tricks I have learned. I don't really know what ones are most effective in combat yet." Semaj sighed. "Hopefully this overseer will put up a good fight, maybe I'll even get another crack at the stronger one I have fought before..."

Gordon watches as the spiders finish there work. "We'll make you final preparations." Walking up to the edge of the circle Gordon's hands begin glowing white as an orb, much like the ones he gave to Alpha, grows in size an brilliance.

Upon seeing the initial preparations being made, the bone golem cocks its head slightly to the side watching Kyomi start work. Upon seeing the circle being drawn by Her Shadow, it turns and moves at a rapid pace onto the hill just to the rear of the party, where it should be safe from the effects of her spell while still being able to observe the ensuing results.

It takes the time to again focus on one of its little sparks, which changes to a warm yellow color before circling it and shooting off towards Kern like its predecessor.

In a soft voice, Alpha does request of Laidan a Second Wind enchantment. The increased energy would be very useful in taking out wraiths before they can get close enough to hit him- or whoever he's next to. "I thank you for your assistance, Magus." He glances around, then shrugs after a moment.

Setting his pack on the ground, Shan searches through the pockets and removes a wooden box. He opens the box, which is heavily padded on the inside and contains two bottles bound together with cloth wrapping. He removes the bottles, and then returns the box to his pack.
After thinking for a moment, Shan also retrieves a roll of bandages, a small pouch, and his carved bone dagger. He slips these items into his pants pockets, where they will be at easier access if needed. He holds onto the pair of bottles, however.

Shan slings his pack back onto his shoulders, and hopes he hasn't failed to think of anything.

Masterslug speaks quietly to Kyomi

"Hold off a minute on the reinforcements Kyomi, best not play all our cards till we know what we are up against also having more than a 1000 extra tons of weight may put a small strain on Ironsmiths empower slowfall spell... so spiders hu? you are really scary sometimes!"

MS looks over at Alpha, trying to ignor the spiders outside the circle.

"That's a pretty impresive kill rate, hmm you are suddenly looking quite shield shaped to a non-combatant like me, do you want to borrow the goggles? would take me only a few seconds to mesh it with a focus crystal if you have one"

Kyomi takes a last look around, raising an eyebrow at the bone golem who joins in.

"All set?" She asks Gordon, as the spider upon her book gives her a salute. "if you could lure more of them here, it would make a more impressive show. Other than that, a good tap will shatter this hill like thin glass."

"Alright then." With a grunt Gordon cast the orb of white light down at what appears to be a group of wraiths. the orb moves slowly through the air as wraiths all around stop and watch it. Well until it comes crashing down vaporising a group of wraiths that is.

The group can see dozens of shapes clearly visible in the after glow, and every one of them is heading towards the ridge and as the glow dies down Gordon sees more are moving out from the trees. "Humm that's a lot of wraiths, I hope your ready Kyomi..." Gordon begins casting his light spell again as more and more dark shapes move into the clearly below.

Semaj and Petros stand up. Semaj dusts off his butt and walks over to Gordon, while enjoying the view of the oncoming hoard.

"Hey Gordon, back at the hall you said and I quote "Wraiths are magical creatures and live directly off magic." now I am sure you thought of this but how does an anti magic field effect these things?" As he is talking Semaj pulls a little black book from his cloak and thumbs though it looking for something.

Meanwhile Petros approaches Kyomi.

"Ma'am, if you would like I am more than capable of collapsing this ridge on your mark. I imagine me collapsing it would be better than you or another mage wasting mana to do it." Petros awaits her response.

Kyomi turns to Petros and smiles, "No need." And with a stamp of her little foot she sets the entire hill trembling. Slow at first, but picking up in magnitude, everything just outside of the circle breaks up as if hit by the fist of Thor Himself.

The bottom, weakest and holding up the rest of the hill, explodes outwards as if filled with eight demon bags. (Maybe it was... She will never tell) And like a proper avalanche, the hill sloughs away atop the oncoming wraiths.

The hill shudders but the section of hill the party is standing on says intact floating almost stationary in the air. "Anti magic fields are good for containing them, but there forms are partly corporal so fields themselves can't destroy them, thought it can weaken them." Gordon replies to Semaj while they watch the hill collapse crushing at least half of the on coming wraiths. leaving around 40. "That's alot of wraiths." Gordon comments as the surviving wraith begin circling below the piece of ground keeping everyone aloft.

Waiting several more seconds for the wraiths to collect beneath the island Gordon yells. "Bombs away!" and the island suddenly begins to fall down crushing even more wraiths, Gordon floating in the air turns his head to the rest and smiles. "What did you think I'd ever let any of you fall?"

Down below twenty wraiths circle and wait as the party slowly decends.

Laidan mumbles under his breath, grins at everyone, and snaps his fingers. For a second nothing happens and his grin slips, but then anvils begin raining from the sky among the wraiths. They don't seem to outright kill many, but certainly cause some chaos. "I've been waiting for a group of opponents I could try that on, no point against a single target."

With a few words, Shan sends East Wind to attack the nearest wraiths. It fires several shots from its cannon, three of which tear holes through the body of a wraith. East Wind also tries to advance on its target, "walking" in midair. The wraith, though wounded, stays standing as it shrieks in pain and rage.

Shan holds Eurus in reserve, for defense.

Glancing around a bit, Alpha considers what he knows about Magus Masterslug. One of the new generation of leaders of OTAKU, an long held ally of ToMU and, based on the messages he'd read working in Kaelas's office, a fairly honorable and straightforward character in most regards.

Nodding once to himself, he turns to Masterslug and replies "I do indeed, Magus" as he quickly detaches the lens to hand over. Looking around a little, he sends a flurry of darts at the wraith the cannon wielding golem had wounded in order to finish it off. A wounded monster can still do as much, if not more, damage as one in perfect health, after all.

Watching the wraith's form slowly drain away from this world, Alpha laughs a little. "And while I appreciate the compliment, you should see my cousin Valadin fight... or either of the Jacks for that matter." As those are Clay5, Bone3 and Bone5 golems, it's not really unexpected that Alpha would be outclassed by that crowd.

Masterslug quickly attaches Alpha's crystal to the his own goggles and passes the now unique item back to Alpha.

"Sorry, I've had to permanetly bond them together, taking them appart now would destroy both, er with a bang. If I'd more... good shot... time to study the crystal I could rig them to interlock and detach, maybe a joint project for the future. In the mean time keep them and I'll send the cost of a new crystal to you."

As they start to decend, masterslug works his way further into the center of the group by pulling himself through the floating crowd.

Kyomi and Her Shadow stand side by side as the platform descends, the short woman looking at the spider atop her book, and saying, "Hey masterslug? You thought the spiders were scary?"

She nods to the spider, who turns about and blows his mini trumpet again.

"How about now?" Underneath the floating platform, the ground starts to break apart, and a black wave of spiders digs its way out from the rubble, and flows over anything not a golem and stupid enough to stay on the ground. Anyone with good eyesight might notice that each and every spider has glowing fangs and leg tips, as they cling to the nearest wraiths.

"I am impressed, Mistress, but if you force them from the ground, they will fly, and attack us." Her Shadow says. "I suppose I do need the exercise..."

"Keep them off the edge behind me, there's a good Homunculus." Kyomi replies sweetly.

*SIGH* "Yes Mistress."

"Well arn't those cute." Gordon shudders, "I hope thing things don't come after us Kyomi." The Wraiths let out more screeches as they fight the horde of spiders, but oddly it appears as though there evenly matched.

Down in the Valley the rift begins to send out an arcs of pure magical lighting and A Overseer begins to head towards the party through the now deserted clearing, but this one seems to be radiating pure darkness.

"I don't reckon we have much time left, Semaj, Petros? Care to help me deal with ugly over there?" Gordon Points at the Overseer.
