I was talkig with a few clanmates after reading the thread aabout rating the different specialties. Alchemy really seems underpowered, especially as a secondary.

A few idaes:
- Add enchanting to alchemy. Short term, enchantments on weapons

- Along the same lines, alchemy allows personal elemental damage spells to apply to ranged weapons (kinda of specific to only helping ranged, perhaps this can be built on somehow)

- Abililty to change the elemental damage of a weapon

- Ability to transmute the damage type of a golem. Example: Addy could be set to do 20 fire damage rather than 20 impact

- Fuse two golems together. Example. you have an Iron golem but fuse a clay golem into it. The Iron golem now has the regenerate in rain and swamp ability. Clay fused with an elemental golem would give the clay golem elemental damage but retain all other aspects and properties of a clay golem.

Thoughts or other ideas?

Personally, I think it would be fun to see Alchemy clans get unique golems. I think I've posted that idea before, but not sure. For example:

Wood -> Petrified Wood (stone like abilities maybe?)
Clay -> Sandstone, Brick, Porcelain
Stone -> Granite, Marble
Iron -> Steel, Stainless steel
Gem -> Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst

This would give a very unique mix of abilities, and would hopefully lead to a lot of interesting matches.

I would like if personal resource transmutation could have a quantity-selection box like the pubic alchemy in Jaaron has. It would be very convenient, compared to clicking the button 30 times to get 30K iron.

Any improvements to alchemy should probably stay under the theme of "breaking the rules of golem creation," since that's kind of what we do already. Like the new or unique golem types, or maybe increasing the HP of a golem's parts.

I will still stick with the suggestion of letting alchemy cans use the stone to gem transmutation on golems. For sake of fairness perhaps at the cost of an additional upgrade but give it to them non the less.

The problem is that a golem transmuted from iron to gem(yes it could be done then, since you can double-transmute) would be a superpower that would make alchemy clans into the top clans in the game in one fell swoop!

We've got some trials in progress for alchemy. Couple of different things in trial. We want to give everyone something.

Those transmutations were made available in dev for me. They were disabled approximately 10 minutes later, after I made something completely ridiculous.

Hand of Fate Level 5 Clay -> Gem
Ananke Level 5 Admantine -> Glass

They're probably the strongest golems in the game by far, easily pummeling current best things into dust.

They still occasionally lose to the new primal elementals.

Please do not underestimate the transmutation system, it's currently my favourite mechanic.

wow... 5 Addy into a 5 Glass, let alone a clay to a gem! Holy cow! Those sound like nightmares come to life.

(I am happy such things will not come to be.)

The main reason I don't think Alchemy is given much thought is because it doesn't give instant gratification other clans do, but eh I'll probably never know at the rate it take to get library levels. lol.
