basic ideas for new golems to break the trend of how things are made. Why should the highest hp go with the highest strength and damage and resistance?

Fur Golem

Strength 30
Speed 20
HitPoints 250
Capacity 200lbs
attack 1 0 0 0 0 0
defense 12 0 12 0 10 5

Mist Golem
Strength 1
Speed 5
HitPoints 170
Capacity 25lbs
attack 0 0 0 0 20 10
defense 30 30 30 0 20 10

for the ultimate in rare golems, the scale golem!!

100 dragon scales to create a torso, and 50 scales to create a part. And that's just for level 1!!!

200hp
dmg=0slicing,0piercing,20blunt, 0fire,0ice,0sonic.

res=15slicing,15piercing,15blunt,20fire,20ice,20sonic

carrying capacity:100lbs

strength = 50

speed = 18

how bout magic golems that amplify magic spells cast on them pretty much they are slightly weaker than gems golems (due to the magic?) but increases the effect of magic but like 5 points ,longer duration,or stronger effect example
you cast Burning Aura on your magic golem and it increases your golem's fire dmg by 10 but on this golem it would increase by +15 instead and the higher the golem's level is then the more points it increases like
level 1- +5
level 2- +10
level 3- +15
level 4- +20
level 5- +25
and that would be just for stat boosting
timed spells would get an increased percentage probably a little higher
(not good with math.)
but all of this is just a thought really would be happy to see this as a golem thought.
also just a thought though but would the mist golem but impervious to ALL physical attacks or at least really well defended from them? also what advantages does a fur golem have?

The fur golem has the highest HP in the game for level 1, along with a great speed and carrying capacity. Imagine that speed and capacity on a level 5 maxed strength and you might see the advantages that needed to be offset by the minimal attack ability. It would be one of the top golems extant.

I was hoping for a more definitive description of the weapon golem.

How about ...
Item Golem
Capacity:450lbs
level1 base HP:5
Strength:30
base speed:46
base damage:0,0,0,0,0,0
base resist:0,0,0,0,0,0
For every item equipped, the golem's core and chest gain hp equal to 85% of the weight of the equipped item, loses speed equal to 10% of the weight of the equipped item, gains chest resistances equal to the last two armors equipped, and damages equal to the last two weapons equipped.

EDIT: I've dropped the base speed to 46, the base hp to 450 and made the hp gains 85% of the weight of total equips. This balances things out so that when I equip 200lbs of stuff I end up with hp 175, speed 26. 300lbs would be 260hp and speed 16. 400lbs would be 340hp and speed 6. 450lbs would be 382hp and speed 1.

NOTE: the weapon speed would no longer control the speed of the golem's attacks. this would be determined solely by the weight it is carrying.

Shouldn't base capacity be 310(to account for str. buffing)?

All Golems so far are humanoids. Can we have Animal shape golem such as wolf golems, bear golems and dragon golems. Something along that line of idea. Pet golems maybe?

Looking though stuff and came across this thread. The last idea here I think should be explored more. "Pet" golems would be awesome and could be sent out with your normal golems or maybe in packs to hunt. I likes the idea.

I like the idea of a "pack" of golems to fight, but the game isn't set up for that at all and a lot of code would need to be written. But Maybe small golems that add small befits to combat/carrying capacity.

But I also like the idea of a small "beast" golem that harries the opponent preventing the enemy from shooting it's ranged weapon, or damaging it, But runs the risk of being damaged or destroyed.

Something like "Skeletal hound leaps at the monster preventing from shooting 2 times"

Or does damage kind of like a ranged weapon, but takes a round of combat or two to reach it's target.

Depending on the speed and level of the target compared to the beast, every round there's a chance the "hound" will be damaged or destroyed. A level one Swamp Hog isn't going to wreck your skeletal hound, but a troll wouldn't find it terribly difficult.

Yup that's what I am talking about! A little battle helper for your golem. Something that knows really only how to do its function.

They could distract, attack, or protect depending on there function/"Stance". Equipped to a special 11th slot on the golem, has X amount of hp, is repaired and armored just like any other golem part, needs a power source maybe.

Mr. Ironsmith always seems better at refining the ideas than I am.
