So, Halftea, would you prefer the beefy Conan type or the slim bishounen type? I hate to suggest it but maybe someone can submit a magus version of a romance novel cover to Arkham. That way you have the shirtless beefcake and the busty babe. ...Just i don't know how well it would fit in a banner O_o;; |

Can't we have something in between? The Arnold/Fabio look is too big for my taste, and most bishis, while fun, a little too slender. Besides, around bishis, I keep waiting for a Yaoi moment. XD If someone's art talents were up to it, the paired Magi would definitely make a great cover for the homepage though. |

So...what? A Fabio look-alike with the Hercules TV look and... (trying to think of the covers of my mom's romance collection) hmm...Inoue Orihime in a low cut dress? or should we keep the current "girl" and put your beefcake in a Leonidas outfit? reason for edit: did some re-thinkingLast Edited: Jul 18, 2008, 11:11 pm |

I have nothing against the current girl, just would like some equal time for the fellas. While I'm not opposed to the Leonidas outfit. (Yummy!) I think we need some time for the poor Magi up here in cold Darghelm. A nice fur-edged cape over a tight leather jerkin sounds appealing. Don't get me started on what I could visualize on a Cave Bear-skin rug. ;p Seriously though, while I like skin as much as the next gal, sometimes a little to the imagination is more appealing. |

Chimpy has an idea! What if both the scantily-clad(but not too scantily, and with fur accents) female model and the buff(but thankfully not IN-the-buff) male model were flesh golems? ...and in the background, a lonely person with a computer controls them both... but pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! Surely you all stand in awe of the genius that is Chimpy |

Seek help Chimpy, seek help... That you would willingly visualize a male and female flesh golems in caveman furs is a little disturbing... it would be like Frankenstein's monster and the bride in swimsuits *shudder* |

Flesh Golems are people too, you cold-hearted person. They're just MORE people... ...and Frankensteins' creation was NOT a monster. The small-minded peasants with the the torches, and the burning, and the stabbing! THEY were the monsters! Unattractive, speak-impaired beings made from recycled parts need love too! ...and for the record, it was not Chimpy that suggested swimsuits. Everyone knows golems can't swim! >>edit sp. Wood golems can...they float! Any of the rest on the other hand...not so much...either from the dissolving or the sinking... |

The jokes that could be implied by a wood golem in a swimsuit are simply too easy... also any puns involving "floatation devices"... ...no, Chimpy shall not ruin his good name with bad humor. |

Now I'm picturing a poor Clay golem dissolving into muck and washing away in a stream... Heh. To Joachim and company at OTAKU2: Sorry, but it was too good to pass up. |

Chimpy weeps for the fate of that poor golem. What master would be so cruel as to neglect baking their clay before activation? Not I, says Chimpy! Truly such a disaster could have been avoided, had the creator read the recipe first... |

At first, I was thinking that if you baked a clay golem (I can only dread the smell of such...) it wouldn't be able to move. But then I recalled that the majority of golems are made from hard substances (bone, stone, iron, etc) So instead I will say that your newly created terra cotta golem will not have the same benefits as a standard clay golem, since it can't regenerate from swamp muck. (which is half the point of clay golems) |

The smell cannot be half as bad as that of baking a flesh golem... Haggis the Homonculus was very unhappy with that particular experiment... However there are many benefits to a terra cotta golem. First and foremost is cosmetic. A proper glaze can give clay golems the gleam of skin present in the afore-mentioned mascot on our fine banner ads. Also, they can be hollowed out and made into fine mobile amphora. This does, however, limit combat effectiveness against hammers and other blunt force attacks... Alas, Chimpy cannot take credit for this brilliant idea, as the Chinese made many such golems long before Chimpy was born. -a side note, it has been concluded that terra cotta golems should only be used as amphora AFTER, and never DURING, the baking process. Thank you. |

One could also utilize a bone golem as a drinking cup... And what about turning a Iron/Copper Golem into a portable BBQ to fry the Fleshy/Woody-types... Mmmmm Golem-dogs and Monster-burgers, cooked over the charred hulk of that old wood golem out back... |

Careful! You'll give away the secret recipe for the herbs and spices used by the folks at Mikke's Salvage Yard next. Coming to a town near you! Delicious Golem burgers grilled over an open flame! Brought to you by Mikke's Gourmet Restaurant and Eatery. Also serves as a nice way to keep the populace happy until they can fish again... :) Don't think any laws are broken so the Rangers will probably stay out of it. :) |

Hmmm... Chimpy likes the way you think! With such a cooking method, we could guarantee hot food delivery! With proper aplication of wood golem chips we could even have slow-smoked flesh golem ribs! mmmm.... *looks around* where did Chimpy's flesh golem go? |

Well the secret isn't so much how you roast the fleshies...it is how you keep the fire drakes in line, so that they don't turn it to charcoal or eat what they are roasting. |

According to Help -> Credits (far right, just before "About Muelsfell" at the end) it says that "new girl" is named "Mayumi." Her artist is Neolucky. Neolucky does do bishies. Check out this Muscular Bishie [neolucky.deviantart.com/art/Somewhere-Out-There-II-72001233 ]. It may be what Halftea meant by "beefcake" and the tree's a few modifications away from being a wood golem. Also, I feel inclined to point out that this picture was on page two of neolucky's gallery, Mayumi was on page 5, and I think the old banner (with the old girl) is still being used on one of the voting sites. Edit --> Yeah, its mmorgp-x.com that has the other banner. Not sure if its the old banner, but hey, we're currently number 2 on the top100.Last Edited: Oct 11, 2008, 5:36 am |
